Directions: I-93 North, Exit 34B in New Hampshire, follow signs to the
parking lot of Mt. Cannon tramway station. It is 2.5 hours drive from
Boston.

Mt. Cannon is 4080 ft and provides one of the best views, if not the best,
in the White Mountain area. On a clear day, you can see the mountains of
four states (New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and New York) and Canada!

If you want to hike, only 2 miles to the summit (4 miles total for round
trip). It is an easy hike and most people can do it.
If you want to take the tram, only $15 for round trip. It is a total
different experience.
An 80-passenger cable car brings visitors to the 4,080-foot summit of Cannon
Mountain in under ten minutes. At the summit, you'll find spectacular
scenic walking paths, a 360 degree observation deck, a cafeteria, bar and
restrooms.
Or hike to the summit, then take the tram down. $12 for one way.
(Optional: If we still got time after Mt. Cannon, we will drive through the
most scenic way of White Mountain area--route 302, which is close to Mt.
Cannon and at Exit 35. There you will see Mt. Wahington hotel and Crawford
Notch State Park
