remediation system. I checked one of the neighbour which also have radon
remediation system in their house.
Is this a problem for the area?

radon reduction. It only costs $1k to install, normally comes with 5yrs
maintenance.

As long as the remediation system or PR works well, do you think it is still
a problem?
How harmful is the radon? if I never use the basement, or seldom enter it,
do you think it is ok as long as the remediation functions.

how harmful is the radon? the radon mitigation vendors will tell you it is
serious if you dont treat it. According to EPA, the radon was the number one
cause for the lung cancer. But they didn't list a single case of lung
cancer caused by smoke! how accurate the data was? go figure. Not only smoke
, some were caused by genetic reason, now they even say certain insulation
could cause lung cancer too. So you need to get new insulation. Of course,
20 yrs later, the new insulation you put now may become the source of some
other disease.
ask the seller to install a mitigation system, costs about $1000 to $1500.
