Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Configure, debug, and test interactive video application and equipment
functionality on Motorola digital headend and cable settop products. Design
and developed test equipment and test software to test interactive video
application performance within the Motorola headend environment.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
- BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, 5+ years experience
using C or C++ or C# (.NET) and Linux is required.
- Experience in Java Script, HTML and Web application tools such as Firebug
is required.
- Experience in test scripting with Perl, Linux shell and integrating
software and network hardware is preferred.
- Networking protocol experience [IP routing, IP Multicasting, etc.] is
preferred.
- Experience with IPTV and HLS is a plus
- Experience with SQL database, Tomcat, and Subversion Code Repository is a
plus.
- Experience with network traffic monitors, load test, and impairment
equipment a plus.
