Sr. Research Investigator, Applied Technology
The successful candidate will be an intellectual leader who can creatively
utilize new and developing technologies to address key issues encountered
during the drug discovery process. The candidate will work across groups in
a highly interactive organization and will be responsible for supporting
oncology programs targeting novel kinases, immune system modulators and
epigenetic modulators. They will be part of drug discovery project teams
with representatives from other departments in the organization and will be
responsible for providing their expertise to programs throughout the drug
discovery and development process.
Job Responsibilities:
Application of genomic and next gen sequencing technologies, including
downstream data analysis with bioinformatics and database tools
Identify and validate molecular markers of pharmacodynamic activity and
response in pre-clinical models using RNA expression profiling and DNA
sequence analysis
Support drug discovery efforts within the organization with molecular
biology based assays and reagents
Design and generate molecular biology reagents for target validation,
expression of recombinant proteins and generation recombinant stable cell
lines.
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in molecular biology or related discipline
Broad based molecular biology experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a highly-collaborative, multi-disciplinary
environment, and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Look for a molecular biologist with bioinformatics experience (or a
Bioinformatition with molecular biology experience). The primary
responsibility will be using NGS and expression profiling for prediction of
response and read-outs of drug activity. | f******g
