Postdoctoral Fellow in Cancer Metastasis, Nanotechnology and Biology

Dr. Avi Schroeder, PhD
Metastasis, the spread of cancer to distant sites, is the leading cause of
cancer deaths. In this project we will construct nanotechnology tools for
detecting and treating metastatic cancer. This position requires previous
expertise with biological assays, while the nanotechnological aspects will
be taught to the candidate in the lab.
The appointment is in the lab of Dr. Avi Schroeder, who was recently
recruited to the Technion – Faulty of Chemical Engineering after working
with Institute Professor Robert Langer at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology.
This position is aimed for an excellent postdoctoral level researcher with
background in molecular biology, including biological assays, such as cell
culture, plasmid construction, and protein detection.
With three Nobel Laureates and numerous achievements, the Technion is ranked
among the leading academic institutions in the world. The Technion is
located in Haifa, a peaceful and beautiful city along the Mediterranean Sea.
