reverse可以用这里吧，仅供参考

If you want to have someting similar in meaning "revert" then rescue
probably is the best candidate.
If you want to emphasize on getting the opposite phenotype, then reverse if
OK.
BTW, your original sentence does not read very well. You might want to
edit it. For example, we would predict or we predict is better then we will predict.

但是这里given 后面的that 不能省略,或者把后面改成短语也行
Given/Considering the dichotomous role of XXX in regulating the
susceptibility of A and B, we would predict that knockdown of XXX in A or
overexpression of XXX in B results in a similar phenotype.
另外,除非楼主上下文里面提到了另外一个phenotype,并且想表达 knockdown of XXX in A or overexpression of XXX in B能够产生相反的phenotype, 否则楼主的原句有歧义. 如果是在这种假设情况下, 用reverse是可以的.

其实上下文环境是这样的：我们怀疑xxx蛋白在A和B里的高表达和不表达导致了它们对
某一疾病一个易感一个抗性，所以我们预测在A里knockdown或者在B里过表达会逆转表
型。最后采用了reverse，谢谢各位了 |
