Postdoctoral Fellowship
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position available immediately in the
laboratory of sensorimotor integration at the University of Maryland
School of Medicine http://cortex.umaryland.edu. The research project
descending modulation of pain, and involves extracellular and
intracellular recordings from brain slices, optogenetics and
neuroanatomical approaches.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent in a related field and
published evidence of experience in advanced whole-cell recordings
from brain slices, or in extracellular recordings from awake rodents.
The incumbent must be a US citizen or a permanent resident of the USA.
The laboratory is strongly committed to the professional development
of its postdoctoral fellows. Salary and benefits are commensurate with
NIH guidelines. Start date is flexible, but an early start date is
strongly preferred.
