fellowship。这样符合Trump的原则，而学术界又不是他的基本盘，反而是敌对一方，
学术界自命清高的人们lobby能力又差，只能任人宰割。

验加上地理位置在纽约和加州。波士顿？达拉斯？也有可能。其他地方太难！

be receiving salary increases or would become eligible for overtime in
response to changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Those changes were to
become effective on December 1. A federal court issued an injunction
yesterday stopping, at least temporarily, the nationwide implementation of
those changes to the FLSA. Because of that, we are suspending, effective
immediately, the announced salary increases and the changes in overtime
eligibility while we consider the court’s determination and the impact that
it has on our employees. We will continue to monitor this developing
situation and keep you informed as we obtain additional information.
If you were previously informed that the FLSA changes would impact your
appointment, further information will be forthcoming specific to your

As you may have heard, late yesterday a federal district judge in Texas
temporarily halted the implementation of new overtime (FLSA) rules imposed
by the Department of Labor that were to take effect nationwide on Dec. 1st.
Although the administration will soon be notifying the campus of a decision
to defer planned implementation of the new FSLA compliance guidelines, I
wanted to let you know that we will still follow the new postdoctoral pay
plans and raise your pay effective Dec. 1st (January 1 paycheck). Xxxx is
eager to ensure that it provides the best possible environment for your
continued training and work as a postdoctoral scholar, including
commensurate compensation.

work you do every day to support and enhance Xxxx research, education, and

目前千老的文章不能说100%，99%都是为了发文章而发文章，纯属没事找事干，除了浪
费纳税人的钱财，几乎毫无作用。

Dear Postdoctoral Fellows,
You may have heard that stipends were going to go up effective December 1,
2016 to comply with the new U.S. Department of Labor’s overtime rule. By
putting the stipends over a threshold dollar amount, Postdoctoral fellows
would not have to comply with the new overtime rule.
A Federal court recently issued an injunction postponing this rule from
being implemented and, as a result, the University has also put any
associated increases on hold. We will let you know if and when the
University makes a decision to move forward with any changes to stipend
levels.

底没戏了。 我六年前phd 毕业就是50k.一年以后postdoc title 换成senior research
associate涨到65k. 虽然这些数字对于生物phd花的时间来说还是很糟糕， 但整个行
业就这样.....当然我也可能是站着说话不腰疼，遇到黑砖窑就绕开。
低头做实验很重要但是能写文章写grant 包括annual report 更重要。 老板们永远不
缺苦力， 但是能做能写的（在生物范围内）人跟老板要求涨工资的资本就多了。 |

Last week a federal judge in Texas issued a nationwide court order to block
changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) that were intended to take
effect on December 1, 2016. These changes would have raised the salary
threshold for an individual to be considered exempt from earning overtime
pay to $47,476, impacting approximately 2,400 faculty and staff at the
University, including postdoctoral fellows. As a result of this court action
, the University has paused its implementation of these changes until the
legal outcome is clear. |
