about doing science.
to me, the problem with true scientific research is that it is not
profit-driven, and hence, its unlikelihood to generate any profit in short
terms make it a non-profitable career. this intrinsic quality of science and
research constitutes the hardships for whoever follows such a career track,
and it also constitutes the unfavorable opions people bear against scientists
and their work.
