I am wondering if someone's religious background will make them view this
question differently. Hope some Christian friends can chime in.

acting of Streep and Hoffman is superb, especially the climax scene in
Streep's office.
The author/director deliberately left the audience hanging, without giving a
definitive answer to the question in everyone's mind, echoing the title "
Doubt". The story started with a sister's doubt, ended in a larger fog of
doubt.

well.
Is telling a lie a sin? Especially for a nun? If a nun tells a lie knowingly
, would she suffer eternal damnation in the hell? Would she suffer more
severe punishment because she is a nun?
Another comment is that the sister's firm conviction of her righteousness
sends a cold chill down my spine. |
