其实HR过多这事儿也是从11赛季开始的，也就正是2核心开始下滑之际。之前这俩是既
能长打又能短打，球队得分手段多样。当Damon和Matsui打不动后，补强这事儿也要看
市场当时a/v的球员的情况，cashman不可能不考虑右边短的因素，但是他也没那么ws只
考虑这个。Swisher是flyout king, 这从哪个角度看也不是在表扬他；大孙子嘛，常规
赛strickout rate年年见长，但他10、11 postseason表现很不错的，今年确实低迷。
Cano就不说了，费解。
Joe说要make adjustments，但是year long的打击习惯也不是几场比赛能调整过来的。
加上Grandy和Cano彻底迷失，Arod完全fading,这样的结果是必然的。好在pitching还
都挺顽强的，没有一场被爆得很惨。

This really depends on how "average" is defined.
What 11 season? "New York Bombers" had been famous before
you were born.
Did you realize both these 2 guys also bat from left?
Swisher is just one example of many fake switch hitters
who essentially still bat from left. Teixeira is a greater
example. Before him, 1B were Gimbi, Nick Johnson. This
season Cashman added to the team with Ichiro, Raul.
Go figure what's his rationale.

Cashman also added righties like Andrew Jones. For Ichiro, anyone who added
him is for getting on bases, but not HRs.
As I said at the times if you could find replacement for prime time Damon &
Matsui depended on who were a/v. Even batting left, those two were not only
capable of hitting HRs. The problem of lefties are so obvious now is because
the two big righties are not that great anymore.
But I agree that adjustment needed to be made. Beat Blue Jays for HRs crown
in regular season means nothing to me.
