铁简直是人满为患，几乎可以和高峰时期的上海地铁相比了。结果好多人都自发地维持
秩序，还大声喊：women and kids go first。对异乡的我而言觉得特别温馨。
而且phillies这么crappy的球队，球迷们都能一如既往地支持他们，还真不容易耶～～～

jeter 有次好像是连着34次无安打，后来的10几次他一on deck,大家就起立鼓掌，他一
出局，大家就猛嘘他。。。这么连着好多场。后来最终他安打了，当时几乎所有球迷都
给了他standing ovation。

If you compare Holliday with Jason Bay as a player and the contracts they
got, plus think about the market we were in this off season, especially for
the outfielders...it’s not that hard to figure it out.

make money, which means to assemble a team that is competitive
or you have a superstar who draws attendance.
I think Pujols will still be good for at least 4 more years.
But the problem is that he will probably sign a 10 year
extension for like 300 mil. What to do with the years that
he is no longer superman? Yankees can eat the salary, can

with this no-cap structure in MLB, for a mid-market team
like Cardinals, it is really hard to keep the team competitive
with such a large contract.
Cards cannot afford to have Pujols test the free agent
market. At that point, even if Pujols wants to take a
home discount and returns to Cards, he is bound by the
player's union and can probably not do it. So Cards

at 75% is still a very good player. Who knows what the baseball
economics will be like seven or eight years down the road? Maybe
25m/year will be the average salary for a top 25% 1st baseman by
then anyway.
But I agree that if cards keep pujols and the payroll stays around
100m, it will be very difficult to be consistently competitive,
especially considering that cards have one of the weakest farm systems
in baseball.

Cardinals can keep P if they choose to, that is for sure...but can they keep
