they are in the market of nyy,phi,bosox,if they do things like marlins, then
nobody will pay to watch their game.
so what they do is to pay enough to be competitive, but will never go do the
extra to win the whole thing.

make money only...they don't care about winning or mets fans.
so every baseball move they makes is for selling tickets only. That's why
there were so many "mistakes" in the medical stuff, and also they were so
mad at Beltron for taking the knee surgery right now, because that move
hurts the ticket sells...

found out the wilpons did not lose any money in the madoff case, if not made
a couple mils. The wilpons themselves said in a interview that they had not
lost any money, all have been recovered...
