A head-on crash killed a McKinney woman who lost control of her speeding
Audi last Thursday in Allen.
The accident happened about midnight on Watters Road when the northbound
Audi crossed a grassy median and struck an oncoming Nissan Frontier pickup.
Sherilyn Bently, 21, died at the scene, police said. The pickup driver,
identified as 43-year-old Daniel Allen Weber, was conscious when rescuers
arrived but was pinned in his vehicle. He was flown to Medical Center of
Plano in serious condition.
Police shut down Watters north of Exchange Parkway for several hours while
they investigated. | c******n
