1. felt driver seat click in first few weeks. dealer checked twice, said no
problem.identified the problem at 3rd time and fixed.
2. error message on panel: l front airbag dysfunction.... was told no
problem. reseted.
3. heard slight noise from engine when sitting on driver seat. sounds like
normal engine noise, but did not hear it in the past. MB tech checked,
identified it is abnormal noise from inside of engine. needs further
investigation.
I told the service manager that I'd rather to have the engine replaced than
fixed if it is engine problem. Do you think if my request is reasonable? It
is a 1 year old mercedes.

#3 - MB这个V6发动机跟Chrysler的那个Pentastar V6是互为马甲的关系（两家一起开
发的）；克莱斯勒的产品不能强求在NVH方面有太多考虑。

the engine need to be replaced and updated. A mb tech with 20 year
experience will fix it. it is guarrented that the car will not have this
problem anymore after repair. they will not replace the engine. the
manager also said he would ask mb to pay one month payment of my car loan($
950). the car will be ready next wed.
please comment. Do I have to accept the offer? or keep fighting? |

You can ask for something that is almost free for MB (such as free extension
of warranty).
When the transmission of an odyssey is toasted, honda will replace it with a
REFURBISHED one under warranty. So you are in better shape than many
odyssey owners.

MB的维修技师分SA和SP(没记错术语的话），如果是大牛SA还是可以信的。

自己意见了哈。再要加个extension必须的，或者想换车也行，估计问题不大。

the car fixed. was told one screw in the engine needs to be updated.
a mb tech with over 20 yr experience fixed it. I can hear the noise but much
lighter. not sure if it is normal. I have very sensitive ears.
Other cars may have similar issue, but no recall yet.
Seems they are very confident for this repair.
Case settled: they paid me one month car loan ($950), plus one year
extended warrenty. they do not offer any powertrain warrenty.
If the problem persists, will go Lemon! |
