What should I do after gtting quote from dealers?
I have seen so many experienced persons on this board, can somebody give
some help, thanks!
I sent quote for about 20-30 dealers last night, and get about 10 replys
with detailed price and fees.
Two of them are about $500 to $600 higher than my anticipated final price.
Then, what should I do next?
1. all of them have about $300 documentation fee and $150 for registration(
is this same with ttl+plate). ------Is it possible to cut the documentation
fee or shut it off?
2. When should I tell them a lower price to beat each other? I read many
posts to negotiate after they go to the dealer store. Why I feel that as
long as I go there, it's hard to cut and rice off. How should I negotiate
with them when I visit the dealer?
3. When should I schedule a test drive? I only have time till this weekend?
Since I heard Wednsday and Thursday are better for negotiation, should I try
the test drive in these two days?
4. How lng does it to complete the whole process? If I test drive the new
car tomorrow, is it ossible to complete the business in 3 days (from
yesterday to tomorrow?)
5. Should I buy the insurance at the time when I buy the car?

Just negotiate on final out of door price. Not individual fees and charges.
Test drive should occur before you decide on a car and stsrted qouting.

Yes, I did test drived and decided the car few weeks ago. So I don't need to
test again?Should I tell them my anticipated OTD price directly?

yes, normal negotiation rules apply. for example if you want $25,000, tell
them you want $24,000.
but the best chance is tell them xxx dealer is offering you $25000 (if you
really have this quote), tell them to beat that price.

再次感谢!
但是目前都是只给一次报价,其中最低的2家比我的预期高$500-600,感觉应该能降一
降。如果我把最低的那家报给其他人,不是就再也降不下来了? 另外他们会不会给那
家联系?
另外一直不太懂,能不能自己造一个报价?

当然可以. 但如果 dealer 说: I can't beat this price. go buy it from the
other guy. have a nice day!

刚才找了2-3个dealer练手,打电话说得到更低报价,问他们能否beat,结果差不多都说
everything is negotiable in store.

without a firm price in hand, you loss when you step in side the store
they have many tricks to confuse you
if you really want to go in there and try, remember, only negotiate on final
OTD price. don't get pulled into play number games with them.

太及时了,谢谢!
不过目前通过发email,打电话,对方不肯松口。我也不知道怎么再砍。给几个dealer
报了期望的价格都没有回音了。

but $500 on a car is not a big deal la. it's close enough. people get those
lowest prices probably spend 8 hours in the dealership fighting with
salesmen, face red ear hot.
if you have the skill, patient, thick face, then you can try to fight for
that price.
