can they find people to work for them in the biomedical research filed?
Another questions is it is possible to find a faculty job after several

你说的PhD assistanship是说博士奖学金吧,这边的形式不是TA或RA,但还是有对等的资
助的,数量其实也不少,只是到去年为止很多都是给国内学生的,国际学生竞争很激烈,从
今年开始,全部敞开,一些科技界大人物还在游说,所以'there is no'不仅过去不符合实
际,将来也不复存在,何况生物界的奖学金和博士后还是比其他学科要多的
faculty不取决于post-doc以及在哪做post-doc,而是论文数,人脉,和英语,以及研究方
向的前景
在澳大利亚生物faculty中的华人好象不如其他学科多,但post-doc或者research
fellow很多,我想和美国类似

In australia, the best academic positions are not faculties, but independent
fundings from national institutes,
the most prestigeous one is the ARC federation fellowship, which pays the
scientist 5 million over 5 years and $200,000 salary in addition to the
salary the awardee is earning.
most people on ARC are professors anyway, so they can at least 350,000 a
year (+ super + incentives) |
