A particular issue in using iCloud is that we have pin point what should be
put on the Cloud. It could be photo, book, email, etc.
For a dumb and cheap user like me, I do not want to pay extra $$ on a 64GB
iCloud storage. So, I have my 5GB. Then, it is hard for me to decide what
I should put in my 5GB cloud storage.
Is it possible for Apple to have a circular buffer design to use the 5GB?
For instance, whenever WiFi is connected, it would upload my latest photo,
book, email, documents to iCould sequentially. If 5GB filled up, it will
automatically remove older ones.
For flexibility, the circular buffer could be set with a smaller size. In
this way, I may have 2GB common storage for contact/web bookmark etc. Then,
use the rest 3GB as a circular buffer.
The benefits are
- if I lost my iPhone, it is likely that i still have my unbackuped items on
iCloud for retrieving.
- if my iPhone lost power and no charger nearby, I can still get what I need
.
It does not sound a difficult design. Still could it be possible? | l**n 发帖数: 7272 | 2 I need to patent this idea as iDontKnowHowToUseCloudSoIMakeACircularBuffer. | z****e 发帖数: 3400 | 3 iCloud本来就是这么工作的,只保留最新的5GB。照片保存三十天的。 | l**n 发帖数: 7272 | 4 that is not nice. if i would like to have something forever over there, is
it possible?
【在 z****e 的大作中提到】 : iCloud本来就是这么工作的,只保留最新的5GB。照片保存三十天的。
| l**n 发帖数: 7272 | 5 All iCloud accounts have 5 GB of storage by default. Music, photos, apps,
and books do not count against that 5 GB limit. Only Camera Roll (photos not
included in Photo Stream), mail, documents, account info, settings, and app
data count against the 5 GB cap.
Photo Stream, photos taken on one device are automatically uploaded to
iCloud and then pushed down to other devices.
30 days limit is for photo stream only. |
