But, what is actuarial auditing? I noticed someone in consulting firm who
holds FSA as well as FCA, is that what you meant? Having both actuarial
knowledge and accounting skills?
And also...any other reasons to my original question?

审呢 因为 保险公司 有偿付能力报告 准备金报告之类的 光懂财务是没有办法作的
所以 需要咨询公司的精算师 就好象为什么公司有财务 但是还要审计咨询一样. 这些是 针对寿险咨询的
养老金那快 咨询 主要就是帮助 企业制定年金计划 这块和你说的问题 就没什么关系
了
同时 咨询公司的 技术 可能 要比一般的 保险公司 强一些
有时候 保险公司 会请咨询公司 帮忙 培训精算软件使用 或者一些比较复杂产品的定
价和建摸
我之前的公司 就专门请咨询公司来帮忙做投连的模型
有一本叫 actuarial survival manual 的书 上面有具体 精算工作 分类的介绍
你可以仔细看一下
他 hold 什么证书 和他做什么没什么关系 很多精算是 喜欢 考试
你再去查查 有 cfa + fsa+ phd 的
你可以 加油 看齐

medicare/medicaid payment based on the plan's risk pool.
The government also hires consultants to review rate filings of the insurers. Not sure how extensively they do it, but it does happen (anthem blue cross).
Having consultant doing the work also provides savings when companies have financial problems. Less employees = less medical benefit paid, less 401k matching...etc.
Now with the health care reform going on, consultant
