发帖数: 1391 | 1 今天下午面试的，我昨天还在问有没有人遇到面试的时候问专业问题的
果然是怕什么来什么，居然真的遇到了。。。呜呜
因为是一个小firm，所以老板直接来面我的，是一个看上去挺nice的老头
先问我为什么要学accounting，然后问为什么选择来CPA firm
接着就是仔细过我简历上的东西，我给他看了毕业证书和成绩单
没有问behavior questions，估计小公司不care这些虚的
直接问我能不能overtime，说busy season每天工作10小时，周六还要加班5小时
然后又问我能做多长时间，老公是干什么的，有没有孩子
自己觉得答得还算不错，就在我有点小得意得时候，老头居然掏出一份考卷！
笑眯眯地对我说，这个就是测试一下。。。我晕
毕业后就顾着带娃，专业问题不少都忘记了，尤其是税方面的东西一头雾水
出来的时候心情很差的，不过就算事先通知我要考试我也未必答得上来
毕竟accounting的东西太多了，我短时间内不可能把所有书都从头到脚过一遍的
写这个经历出来给大家提个醒，不要光顾着一般常见问题，专业也要兼顾
顺便求个bless，opt3个月时间转眼就到，希望早日拿到offer，谢谢 |

概他们想看看让你自己开始（self-starter)好像面试里他们都问到这个。而且你要进
去了就真是自己摸索，没人手把手的教，如果你觉得自己真是知识忘记太多了。。没去
成那里未必不是好事情。下次你不妨问问对方是侧重税务呢。还是BOOK呢。找工作中发
现，似乎太小FIRM其实做AUDIT的真是不多。复杂些的TAX或者小生意人的BOOK是大部分
。问问对方，至少下次去面试前也知道看看什么啊。。intermediate accounting 也很
厚呢。。对吧？ |

我面时，就问了些常见问题，问会不会这啊，那的，我都不会。然后说会教，好好学，
就要我了。
我们firm并进来的另外一个firm里的一个人说，当时她找工作，也给卷子的，一样不会
做。估计咱这州的老爷爷喜欢考试。面我的是NY来的老板：）

我是fresh graduate只有实习经历，发现招毕业生的公司真的是少之又少，发出去的简
历都石沉大海了，任何一个普普通通的junior accountant都要2-3年工作经验甚至更多
，唉 |

My background: BS-acct from a small us college; BS-management from Chinese
college; Passed two CPA exams and do not need to sponsor.
I think the best network for the entry level position is from the campus,
especially you are still in school. My college is so small even the local or
mid-sized CPA firms do not come for recruiting. I got this position from my
school accounting club. Almost at the end of last Nov, my school accounting
club invited local cpa firms and corporations CPAs to share their cpa study
and work experience. One of the professionals is a local CPA firm AUD
partner. After the meeting I talked with her and gave her my resume just for
potential job opening. At that time I only passed one CPA exam .Actually I
did not do any follow up. The most important reason is I will sit for
another cpa exam in one week and finish my degree in three weeks.
But following morning of the commencement day, I got a voice message from
that lady and want to give me an interview scheduled two days later. But I
have to leave for vacation the second day, so I called her back to re-schedule
the interview that afternoon.
On the interview, the AUD partner and another TAX partner gave me interview.
And the AUD partner told me she called all my accounting professors, and
they gave her good comments about my performance at school. And at the same
time I told her I passed another cpa exam and gave some awards from the
graduation. The interview is about 40 mins total. They ask me questions from
my resume and my intern experience (half year/in us/related with accounting
). And some other questions about my personal information such as how long I
came to us, how can I learn English, what I did when I have problem with
study, why I choose accounting when I began to study in us…
The AUD partner asked me how you can get A from your audit professor. She
said everybody told her the audit professor is so tough. I just tell them
the truth, I almost cried every time after the class when I got home, but
this answer satisfied them so well, which I did not expect.
So after the interview I went west coast for vacation, but I got her offer
through email just 2 days later. |

家电话问的，当场给的offer, ０９年夏天的事。

不能问，否则如
果被拿来当是否雇人的标准，可以告他歧视。

么大不了的
