I'm not sure.
I happened to attend a gosepl camp (Quest for Life, in PA) last month, and
康來昌 is the key speaker. He gave a series of talks to the non-believers
in the camps, including a message on the book of Jobs, and first few
chapters of Genesis.
During the meeting, he did mention that Chinese scholars have a tendency
to "talking about theologies and debating about Calvanism before even
reading the Bible once".
