In terms of social, not many necessity until 2-yr-old.
In terms of health, my son was sick (on-and-off, me together) for about 5
month during the first winter. Afterwards, he built up his immune system,
and seldom gets sick anymore (he is 3+ now, only took sick leave twice since
2-yro, knock wood). Sometimes he had low fever during weekends, but
recovered after one sleep.
Considering your pp's health, better send your child to daycare/familycare
