contributions have been RBs, Tackles, CBs, Safeties, Linebackers.. and
a few WRs.. mostly the defensive players. UM is probably a lot more balanced
and very productive especially in terms of QBs.. while UF has a lot of
QBs and WRs.. |

on Sunday's game. Colts D needs a lot of improvements during this offseason.
Btw, I think most CBs are shorter than the WRs in the league. High WRs like
TO, RM, Colston, B. Marshall, A. Johnson have so many advantages over CBs. |

long as TB can deliever to the right spot, it all depends on the ability of
recievers. That's it. I wonder if a healthy Gronk can do a better job than

Manning's play calls were fine.
Colts were playing tight man-to-man coverage and jamming the receivers at
the LOS to disrupt timing routes. Such coverage is great against quick and
short timing passes but vulnerable to big plays any time the WRs win the one
-on-one match ups with the CBs, e.g. the two long passes to Decker on the 2-
play TD drive in the first quarter.
The problem for Denver was that for most of the game, the Broncos WRs couldn

If he has 2 good receivers, he can double his output. still not great, still

Holmes was polished, but not dominant either.
Posey was ranked the top 3 WRs out of high school and is arguably
one of the top WRs in his class.
I think his talent is indisputable.

TP is stronger, but will never pass at the accuracy of TS (hope
I'm wrong). But if he can make good decisions and not turn the ball
over. I'll be happy. He can make plays just like TS.
Offense overall:
06 was dynamic with a group of effective WRs and capable RBs.
10 is more versatile IMO. Not nearly as many quality WRs, but
TE, FB, and RBs can all catch.

in all D1 teams. It's so complicated that our WRs cannot learn and run
routes constantly. Then QB had to hold ball longer to wait for WRs to open,
resulting more sacks.
He is a great person. I live not far from his house. He has two great kids.
Wife was a disgrace, ran away with a gator ex wr. That affected him greatly
and he hasn't recovered since. It reflected on football field, losing more
and more games. |

KS一向是用来对比两种数据的分布是否一致的。形状有变化，KS报告显著是它的本分。
而WRS只对中位数敏感。你之前的说法是KS对分布敏感的理由是数据连续，不连续就不
敏感，所以我才给这个例子。很清楚，你这句话错了，不用连续有数据相同，只要分布
不同，KS一样report significant，而对这么两种完全不同的分布，WRS完全没有反应。
楼主的数据也一样。既有shape变化也有median变化。两种test都应该是显著的。我同
意两者都能做，但不同意不连续所以KS test就不能做 ---- 然后举了例子证明。

rushing yards and giants 72.3. if vikings want to defeat
giants, they'll rely more on passing not running.
If they win, they have to face the AFC champ. predictablly,
they still have to rely on their WRs not RBs. NFC's
denfenses are not as good as that of AFC. so vikings can't
survive in superbowl.

league
even back in his prime days. But he runs precise routes and has an uncanning
ability to get open. And of course his sure hands that used to catch bricks
(literally) when he was young :)
He still has that ability today and should fit in well with WCO teams
before.

season due to injuries. The last season's top receiver is LT. This tells all.
Also losing spirit leader Seau and Rodney Harrison on defense. The young
defense can not stop anyone.
This year Chargers had a good draft, some of them are immediate starters.
Offense is healthy (only Caldwell is a big name losing due to injury so far).
Defense is growing, they are one of the best teams in rush defense.

Weekend前我说过, 老鹰的D有能力stop海盗的进攻, 但海盗的D却阻挡不了老鹰的进攻.
虽说今天老鹰好几个球很有运气, 但是运气的基础还是老鹰的D. 比赛一开始, 两队你来
我往, 结果老鹰的D比海盗的D多成功的stop几次possesion, 结果就造成21:7这样的比分.
对海盗这样的队要想catch up结果是要命的.
再说第二场, 赛前我也看好Colts, 没想到结果这样. 回家看球前想着, 钢人扇子是更想
打拍子还是更想打扣子呢? 当时觉得可能还是更想打扣子, 原因和上面一样: 钢人的D有
能力stop扣子的进攻, 但是扣子的D几乎没有可能阻挡钢人.
看完扣子拍子的比赛, 又想起这赛前的一念: 当时为什么就没有想到拍子的D几乎是可以
和钢人match: 同样, 拍子的D设法shut down了扣子, 而扣子的D却挡不住拍子, 尤其
是几个3rd and long让拍子convert更是要命. 当拍子Marching the field的时候, 大曼
和他的Wrs就在场边被新英格兰的寒冷天气cool down了.

名气大，但也不是一无是处。NFL臭名昭著的5yd chuck rule就是它在NFC决赛abuse
eagirls的WRs惹出来的。
NFL里其它对规则变化有积极贡献的还有：
茄子QB Vinny Testaverde，前些年playoff里搞了个没进endzone的TD气走海鸟，直接导
致了NFL的instant replay；
牛仔的保安Roy Williams废掉TO,今年NFL出台Roy William rule，禁止horse-collar
tackle；
去年SB中场休息Janet Jackson的boob show，搞得现在TV Network流行给文艺表演
加television delay.

Bobby Taylor, Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown are good. But they
are not top corners. These guys benefitted a lot from Jim Jonshon's
blitz schemes. They do not have to do a lot to contain the WRs,
because the opposite QB does not have time to make good passes.
Last week Cowgirls used max protection through the game. Eagles
could not sack Bledsoe even if they were playing flag football.
That was why Sheppard and Brown got exposed.

快评：这是曼宁和小马offense开始calm down的series. 小马推进到狗熊红区。狗熊这
个play和它前面的那个play的防守，是全场比赛中少用的rush 6防守 --狗熊的防守属
于中规中举型，一般只pass rush四个DL。这两个play狗熊aggressive了一把，效果不
错。前面的那个play，狗熊除了4个DL，又把SLB 92号和MLB Urlacher投入到pass rush
中，直接造成小马本来的playaction计划破产，Addai用来block SLB, 曼宁临时后退找
hot read Harrison (因为blitz的SLB来自Harrison的右侧) ，勉强拿下4码。这个play
狗熊的守阵更怪，两个LB，54号Urlacher和55号Briggs都列阵在line of scrimmage上
