目前亚马逊网站Amazon.com、Barnes & Noble书局、好市多(Costco)等主流商号都销售她的新书。脱口秀女王欧普拉，更在网站上介绍「鬼新娘」是值得一看的新书。
在网上透过谷歌搜索引擎键入鬼新娘及作者，不少人推荐该书是本充满新意及想像的好书。「这本书是探险加上爱情，希望娱乐别人」，朱洋熹则对该书如此注解。
鬼新娘背景设定在1890年的马来西亚，这与朱洋熹成长背景有关。她是马来西亚第四代华侨，因其母是中文教师，从小坚持教她中文，以致能说流利普通话。但笑称中文程度马马虎虎，远不如英文。她的英文带着英国腔，原来其父是外交官，曾随父母住过欧洲。
朱洋熹成绩优异，大学时从马来西亚申请到哈佛大学社会学系就读，目前从事管理咨询工作。
