Pay with cash if you can. If you pay with credit card, the waiter might have
to wait a week or two in order to pocket that money, whereas cash can be
taken home sooner.[8] If you want to reward good service, it's more
motivating to help the waitstaff take home their hard-earned tips sooner
rather than later.

说到小费，不是真的服务好就多得的。我见识的客人中，90% 美国人给的range在15%~
25% 或以上。欧洲的~10%，亚洲的10%~15%,个别情况不同。
关于大家提到的小费给少了怕侍应生报复问题，我觉得完全是侍应生个人人品问题。我
不擅记人，不会记得哪个客人小费给多点，哪个给少点，就算真给我记住哪个特差的客
人，我也从没在客人的餐饮里动过手脚，并且一视同仁的接待。因此，当朋友聊天提到
不管在餐厅吃饭遇到什么情况都不要把食物send回kitchen，我还一度感到纳闷。
入乡随俗，既然大家在美国，该给小费的还是给，你自个儿看服务态度在 15%上加减。
要知道，很多时候，侍应生的 base pay 根本不到minimum wage的一半。我记得有一
次跑到一小镇打工， 车票花了我20刀，忙活一天下来，黑心老板还给扣了些，最后到
手35刀，那时我真的很想哭。
写这个只是希望大家能体谅一下相互的苦，即不能改变小费制度问题，也请不要迁怒到

restaurants, it’s not as clear cut for food delivery, most commonly – the
pizza delivery guy. CNN suggests this for how much to tip on food delivery:

Waitstaff: 15-20% of bill before tax. At a buffet, $1-$2 per person is
appropriate for the person who brings your drinks.
Valet: $1-$2 per car.
Dealer: Tip the amount of your average bet, once or twice an hour.
Cocktail Server: $1-$2 per drink.
Concierge: Between $2-$20 per appointment.
Taxi Driver: 15% of fare.
Hourse Keeper: $1-$2 per day.
