读《中外文化交流史》（何芳川主编，国际文化出版公司），下卷中提到英国人乔治·
安森（George Anson）写的一本书《环球航海记》（A Voyage Round the World）。这
位安森是英国海军军官，其实是一位官方海匪，他环游世界专门在海上劫夺其他船只。
1740年9月从英国起航，1742年11月抵达澳门待了一年多，1744年6月返回英国。安森回
国后，把他在1740-1744年间环绕世界的航程中所见所闻写成了这本《环球航海记》，
于1748年5月在英国出版。
这本书的第三部分有五个章节记载了安森在中国（澳门、珠江口、广州）一年多的经历
