Junior组比赛的第一名.今年的梅纽因国际小提琴比赛一共有300多人报名参赛，最后有
44人被选参加今年4月在London的比赛，Coleman Violin Studio有3名学生入围，其中
Sophie Lee赢了Junior组的第一，Takumi进入了半决赛。真为这些孩子们取得的成就开
心！

teaches two pieces each year for recital purpose. He was complained by other
parents that he checks his cell phone and replys messages during students'
lessons.
My kid is over 10 year old and has more than 5 years violin experience.

have better chance to play for MCYO or other Orchestras. In recent two
years, MCYO even had training courses for violin student to play for viola (
because of too much competition). |

发帖数: 16949 | 12 因为ＥＡ拿到了Uchicago的offer, 其实已经不需要保底了。Vandy还是申请了（拿到了
全奖）。因为Vandy全奖和UChicago半奖还不时肯定要去UChicago.
其实我觉得拉小提琴对她最后录取帮助没有太大。这个花了很多时间，金钱。从小学开
始，每天都要拉琴（当然我们督促的也不是那么紧），每星期至少一次家教，还要开车
送去。其实最后写在申请表上也就是extra curriculum的一项而已。到中学稍微学一点
，然后说在乐队里就行了。你是高级别的first violin还是低级别的2nd violin,我不
觉得有多大不同。而且现在亚裔孩子个个都拉琴，你说能有多大帮助？当然如果能在州
里的奖或者想一直搞音乐那就是另一码事了。 |

A former user of Violin is none other than our famous TT machine, the "
invincible" Ma Long. Invincible until last week, that is. He was beaten by
the young Japanese lefty who happened to have switched from T05 to T25,
which I think suits his playing style better. |

发帖数: 123 | 19 曾经有一段时间，我喜欢的录音都是MONO的。想一下，
furtwangler的录音全是啥时候录的，就不奇怪了。但
是，慢慢的，我对录音的质量开始挑剔了。
我想这有两个原因，一是常听的曲目有点不一样了。
谁也不能一天到晚听furtwangler的beethoven和brahms，
那是要发疯的。即使是beethoven和brahms，stereo时
期的录音也有许多不错的。klemperer的录音就大多是
stereo的，他和Bavarian录的4，5就不可一世。walter
的brahms更是好过furtwangler(1除外)。
再一个原因，很多曲子本身对再现的要求就很高。
mahler的曲子，没有好的效果是根本不行的。bruckner
很喜欢first violin和second violin的interplay，
不把他们分列两边，都不大容易听清，更不用说mono了。
他又喜欢wagner tuba，mono的tuba声音真是撕心裂肺。
我觉得在录音中损失或者说水份最大的是人声。我到现
在，还是不能听mono的歌剧。flagstad唱的Isolde,不知
道当年如何，录音里却很干 |

work from him, those 5 violin concertos are just minor things.
Try his piano concerto 19, 21, 23 & 27.
Try his clarinet concerto
Try numerous of his piano sonatas.
If you like sweet food, try his horn, flute and basson concertos
Also, his symphony 25, 28, 29, 32, 36, 40, 41(the greatest one)
Finally, never forget his operas! They are marverlous. |

Opportunity always can be achieved by yourself when time and money allows.
Violin is different from piano, you need some talent to do it.
If your child can play violin well, that means he is talented, God at least

日本的梦幻曲.
负责音乐部分的是大师山本直纯,他曾经参与过多部日本电影音乐的监制，自己也有独
立的音乐作品。这个动画电影的制作公司是"Hello Kitty"的Sanrio。
其中的具体曲目和电影联接我贴在最后。着重说这个电影的主题音乐，山本直纯的爱的
主题。
在片中反复出现。一开始花仙子出现时的歌曲，与埃尔加的爱的致意结合得天衣无缝。
后面多次在烘托气氛中出现。当双簧管手与花仙子沉浸在爱河中，整个小提琴与双簧管
的二重奏终于完整出现。最后花仙子告别时，美丽的歌声再度响起。每一个听过这个曲
子的人都无法忘记的。

我还有个非常菜鸟的问题。 我想录个小提琴二重奏，大致想法是先录violin 1, 送进
cooledit之后，一边听耳机，一边录violin 2. 可是laptop上只有一个USB端口，耳机
和Zoom H2都是USB，怎么办？如果直接从speaker里放出来，第二个声道就有了杂音。
高手们是怎么解决这个问题的？ |

Unfortunately I have only studied for a month and gave up.It is also
difficult for beginner if no one is tuning your violin (which needs to be
tuned each time before you play). |

difficult instrument to learn, and it is very boring until after many years
of learning. It is also extremely competitive. I was forced to learn the
violin from 5-7 (with daily beatings) and have hated it since. |
