身定做好的软件，维护并根据单位内部需要进行持续开发。Vendor承诺下个月底就可以
完成。Vendor在半年之前就开始做这个项目了。Vendor是个很小的公司，只有4个
developer. 我所在的公司比较大，我在IS部门。是我们公司的另一个部门（非IS）找
的这个Vendor并和vendor 签的合同。
问题来了。本来以为临近限期vendor的东西应该快做好了，我老板和那个非IS部门的头
让我去帮一下vendor反正东西没做好我闲着也是闲着。于是我上星期去了vendor那里
看看还需要做什么，想帮他们快点完成了好交接。一去才知道人家东西还没怎么做，网
页是空的，services也是空的，100%的活还有95%没完成。想让我负责1／3的web UI的
活。
我回来和公司反映了情况。我老板的意见是让我干vendor给的活之前先做time
estimate, 这样整个项目误了限期于我和我们IS部门无关。我只要在我自己给的限期前

client要招临时工（有的公司招full time也招vendor），他们就告诉preferred
vendor，vendor就帮他们找人。 如果这个一级vendor有其他合作的vendor， 可能就找
他们要人，他们就是二级vendor，如此类推，ICC在最底端，提供人。client给的钱就
是层层分，最后可能剩下不到一半分到码工手上。
招人，screening，background check都包给vendor做，只有技术面试是client做，个
别的技术面试可能也包给vendor。一般流程都是ICC把简历挂各大找contractor的网站
，vendor看到简历来联系，然后约个时间phone screen。vendor的层数多的话，每层都
要做一次最后过了一级vendor再给安排客户面试。 |

这里有个中国人vendor时不时的招人，不过vendor大部分要能立马干活的
靠谱的vendor还能给你办绿卡，但是价格低
有的vendor经常要求干玩项目就搬家去别的地方做项目
能找FTE的不去vendor，除非你没有身份问题，vendor价格有的时候还是蛮高的
但是福利很差
我知道这里微软Vendor居多，但是微软有18个月限制，google好像是6个月，具体你问
微软和谷歌的人了
我知道的中国人一直靠vendor绿卡都办下来了，当然是好几年的被剥削的结果。 |

接到一个vendor 电话，对方打招呼问你填表这些，你先挡回去。
直接问vendor,end client是谁。
如果vendor 说是Apple/Cisco,那么请继续。
如意不愿意提供，或者说是XXsolution/consultant,那么这就是一个二道贩子，直接把
你简历卖到其他consultant 的赚差价的，不要有任何犹豫直接挂电话。
接上上条，这个时候vendor会让你填表，你说不方便填表，想直接和end client 面试。
如果vendor一口要你填表，不用鸟他挂电话。
如果vendor说ok可以和end client面试。他就会约时间。让他在邮件loop里添加上end
client 面试你的manager的公司后缀邮箱。比如 [email protected]
如果vendor不愿提供，则不要鸟他挂电话。
以上方法可以区分真实有工作岗位的ICC vendor, 过滤掉几乎百分百的垃圾二级代理
贩子，骗简历的骗子，骗SSN个人信息的骗子。 |

发帖数: 140 | 40 宝宝5岁，在pre-K。每天都要自己准备午饭或者买vendor lunch，不知道为什么宝宝很
喜欢vendor lunch，似乎所有的小孩子也都是（我听到好几个小孩很羡慕得问我，问什
么宝宝可以天天吃vendor lunch）。冬天天气冷，我们就每天都给他定，至少保证天天
吃热的午饭，最近天气好了，向自己给宝宝做些健康的午饭带。但是宝宝似乎不是很高
兴，但是也没有说什么。今天到学校，老师很严肃地问我，是不是我的工作有什么问题
，或者家里有什么事情。我说没有呀！老师告诉我，宝宝告诉他，他不能吃vendor
lunch是因为"Mommy is out of money"（我也和他说，如果天天吃vendor lunch,就没
有钱买玩具乐， 宝宝理解成我没有钱了），我解释给老师听,老师终于明白了。
想想前几天，宝宝和我说班上有个同学不能来上幼儿园了，因为她妈妈没有工作了，我
当时还同情了那位同学的妈妈，现在不知道有多少家长同情我了。:)看来我要和宝宝，
从健康的午饭角度解释我们不买vendor lunch比较好，不过宝宝真是很体谅的。 |

因为他现在帮人搞一个consulting公司(就是那种培训,then假简历,当然我们公司已经
有很多这样的Indian Contractor)，
他们是小公司，又比较新，不是our preferred vendor
需要通过other preferred vendor,也就是把人卖到preferred vendor,
但是那些big vendor, donot usually trust them,
所以我的朋友要我公司老板and other hiring manager的电话和email,
then 我的朋友can talk to hiring manager, then tell the big vendor , he knows
the hiring manager in my company so that the big vendor can send
我的朋友的员工to my company.
我只是一般的员工,
大家觉得我应该做我朋友让我作的吗 |

right that they only hire contractors from 'preferred vendors'.
However, it's not difficult to get into the list of 'preferred vendors'. You
only need to pass an audit, which is not hard.
I know several former contractors/employees registered a vendor company with
the sole employee being himself/herself and come back working as a
contractor. Technically, they are still hired through a vendor but since

最近在吧里看到好多关于讨论ICC的帖子，我觉得自己可以根据自己的ICC经历，给考虑
去ICC的同学一些帮助，不喜勿喷。
首先介绍一下我自己，传说中的废物金融硕士MSF毕业，找工作半年未果投奔ICC，现在

发帖数: 1555 | 48 这个你要和你vendor公司谈的。我原来做vendor的时候，是和vendor公司签的at will
的合同，也就是vendor公司如果这个项目结束了，可以把我排到别的项目上。
你这个vendor公司好像要和你签的也是合同工，慎重。
微软和vendor公司的合同一般都是一年一签的 |

发帖数: 1555 | 49 MS里的vendor company是有list的，现在已经不是很方面的可以加进去了。而且，普遍
中国人有看不起vendor的思想，不愿意做vendor，嫌vendor不够stable。烙印好像这么
想的比较少，而且他们来的早，主要做tester，只要test leader是烙印，那基本上就
只找烙印了。没办法，这就是现状。我原来干过一段vendor,我的vendor公司是原来的
MS里的人开的，现在好像也搞不下去了。哎。 |
