问题大概有：
1。我手上有美国b1签证。我必须申请加拿大的签证才能从seattle到vancouver短期逗留
吗？
2。本人不会开车，从seattle到vancouver对外地人最方便快捷的交通是什么？大概要多
长时间，多少银子阿？
3。象这样的情况，去了vancouver以后，我是不是必须回到seattle坐飞机回新加坡阿？
还是可以就从vancouver回新加坡就可以了？一般来说，异地返回的机票是不是比在同一
个地方的双程往返票要贵阿？
4。主要是vancouver也有一个会议我也可以去，当然我也可以选择不去。所以想计划一下
，如果去vancouver不是很麻烦，而且vancouver比较好玩，适合来旅游一下的话，我估计
会参加那个会。大家觉得vancouver有什么好玩的阿？推荐一下，因为我还没有作travel
plan的survey。：（

现持有绿卡,所以不用去加拿大使馆签证.
但我的中国护照快过期.我已经寄到三蕃的中国大使馆申请一本新的护照.这大概需要两
个月的时间.
问题是:下个月去Vancouver的话,我只有绿卡和美国驾照. 这是不是足够了?
请有经验的朋友给点建议.

近期（8月底前吧）去vancouver，因为我们没有dirver license，所以我们愿意承担更

并，也计划在9月上旬去yellow stone，征友中。
去vancouver的计划如下，只是初步计划，一切都可以商量。

下午1:00集合，出发
车程3小时，住richmond或vancouver的motel或其他，check in，
去中国城晚餐，及准备明日食物

早上8:00坐船去victoria，
9:30到buchart garden, 游览
下午游览victoria市景

候买到Anchorage, AK,回来的时候从Vancouver走呢？看了一下如果从seattle走的话，
会便宜一些，听说seattle到Vancouver有bus，但是从来没去过，想问问这个bus大概多
少钱呢？多长时间呢？从Vancouver到seattle的话过关，是不是也要很久呢？如果早上
下了cruise，不知道晚上seattle的飞机能不能赶得上呢？如果合适的话，想从seattle
做飞机回来。
另外Anchorage到Whittier远吗？从Anchorage怎么到Whittier的码头呢？多长时间和多

COACH，邮轮公司会把你照顾得很好的。就是机票不要订得太紧。ANC 到 WHITTIER 要
两三个小时，虽然只有70 MILES，我们交了54 一人。VANCOUVER TO SEA 不知道。
如果是seattle来回7天的就不如Whittier to Vancouver，14天的就是另一回事了。 |

我是觉得光西雅图温哥华加周边十天都不够。
Seattle - Vancouver - Banff - Vancouver - Seattle 略折腾，
大概是因为不需要异地还车可以省钱。
另外Calgary也办过冬奥哦。所以路线上，
飞Calgary为基地，去Banff Yoho Jasper Waterton再回来。
从Calgary开车穿Banff Yoho Jasper Glacier Revelstoke 去Vancouver。
反向Seattle - Vancouver - Calgary单程
Victoria BC也非常漂亮

Scotiabank交签证费，顺带到中餐馆小小腐败一下（早听说Vancouver的中餐特别好，
现在已验证）。是夜宿友人家。周二上午排队签证，10:00AM左右进入领事馆，按指纹
。提示：现在Vancouver美领馆不再收DS-156,157,158，而是由申请人事先在网上填DS-
160，本人照片upload electronic copy 到DS-160，当天再提供hardcopy一份。漫长等
待，其间默祷数次（我是基督徒），将各种预案在心中演练数次。大约11:00AM被带到
20楼签证厅，约10分钟后面见签证官：一个和善的老头。

发帖数: 1151 | 41 1 预约： 现在在加拿大预约比较麻烦。 我是7月30号拿到 I－797B， 然后直到8月15
号才约到一个9月28号 （当时有几个）。 后来又刷到9月23号。应该是别人取消的，
因为只有一个。
因为我申请的时候在Vancouver薄厚， 所以只能在Vancouver签 （回国都不行， 因为
I94已经再Vancouver了）。 当时没有预料到预约这么严峻。曾今刷到一个9月8号的，
转眼就被别人抢了。
2 签证还比较顺利。
a. DS160的照片最好是最近的。 否则即使网上通过， 进去检查的时候还会要求再照一
张。 因为最近瘦了点， 被要求出去重照。 还好附近就有一个。然后再进去也不要排
队（等人叫你就可以了）。
b. 交钱必须到scotiabank。 如果不想提前太多来， 其实领馆附近就有一个， 走路2
分钟左右。 不是太早的话有足够的时间。
c. 可以自己取， 但是要隔一天。 我要9月25号取。 H，L， O， P， Q等工作签证，
有可能要4个工作日才能取（有个文件 2007年11月生效， 说要confirm petition）。
而且决定给你签证的时候才会告诉你要几天取。 所以买 |

一月份去洛杉矶玩的时候顺便walk in进加拿大领事馆办签证，隔天取到。
六月份最近Southwest飞Seattle, 玩一天再Amtrak火车赴Vancouver, 住与 US
Consulate Vancouver (1075 W Pender St) 只隔一条街的 Days Inn (921 W Pender
St); 第二天一早去US Consulate; VO只问了学位情况，我确实没有北美的学位，只能
如实回答 Bachelor from China Mainland, 他说没关系，看了一会材料最后说
Approved, 3工作日取，实际上第二天晚就收到Loomis来信说ready for pickup; 这三
天实际上租车往Banff去了，但没有到达，在Kamloops折返。回来在机场附近 5001

发帖数: 152 | 45 打算买房。目前觉得vancouver的好处是房价比较低，还省州税。但有几个考虑的方面
，情况不是特别熟，想听听有经验的同胞们的意见。
1）vancouver居住、portland downtown上班现实不现实？看地图，似乎距离跟tigard/
beaverton到portland downtown差不离。有经验的朋友请说说，开车／公共交通大约要
多长时间，traffic怎样？
2）当地neighborhood怎样？哪些地段比较好？在网上看vancouver lake的
neighborhood，觉得好像还不错。有没有朋友住那附近，能给点介绍么？比如说治安／
学区／生活便利程度之类都如何。
3）听人说购物的话可以去portland。有这样做的朋友能说说方便程度么？现实不现实？
4）补充一点个人情况：暂时无孩，可能要等个两三年才要吧。省下的州税／房价是不
是可以供孩子去私立了？还是过个8、9年等还在入学后还是得搬去波特兰的好学区？
5）同胞多不多？

行程安排.
比如说从Seattle到Victoria要租车么,还是坐船过去. 在
Victoria要租车么? 是住在Victoria好,还是住在Seattle
每天坐船往返Victoria好? 另外去Vancouver是从Victoria
还是从Vancouver开过去方便?
另外,每个地方两天是不是差不多?

感觉在Victoria玩两天差不多了。Vancouver两天也可以把主要的地方走过了。
线路的话，上次我们是从Seattle坐船去Victoria，住在Victoria一晚，然后从
Victoria再坐船去Vancouver。挺方便顺利的。从Victoria到Vancouver的渡船好象是一
小时就一班。 |

Hi, I plan to have a family trip (with two kids and in-laws) for 7 days
there. Don't want the trip to be too intense - I am thinking fly to Seattle,
then drive to Olympia NP for one & 1/2 days, then maybe take a ferry to
Victoria Island and stay there for one to two days, then ferry back to
