之前由挂靠过一段时间的opt（unpaid intern），最近找到了新工作要做background
check
我在简历里有提到这段经历（因为毕业已经有一段时间了，而且unpaid intern也确实
帮着公司做了一些东西），和公司面试时候也只是说我在xxx做intern，但是并没有提
是unpaid的。
网上看到unpaid employment这种background check是查不到的。。。所以想问下我是
应该在check前就告诉公司当时是unpaid intern，还是等到公司check后发现问题再跟
他们解释。。。。unpaid intern的offer letter还有工作正明什么的都有。。。
不知道大家有没有啥建议。。

转到现在的公司，但是也是谈好了先做3个月的unpaid实习，后面开始看情况给发钱，
offer letter上没有写unpaid也没有提具体工资，只是职位上面写了还是属于Intern
目前用的这个公司来申请opt延期，由于现在还是没有钱进账，不知道opt延期会不会有
问题啊？opt延期是不是必须要pay才可以呢？另外之前opt期间完全做的是unpaid opt
会不会影响现在opt延期的申请呢？opt延期申请已经递上去一个多月了，完全没有动静
，在版上研究了一下，有人说unpaid的会有问题，所以我很着急。。谢谢各位 |

貌似很多学校说No，但是strong recommend
但又出来一个新规定，貌似是放宽松了很多

所以未来做unpaid intern，是不需要使用CPT么？

如果是纯volunteer，比如给教堂打工之类的，就不需要authorization
但如果是unpaid intern，但如果是给profit公司工作，移民局会认为你还是抢走了正
经美国人的工作机会，还是会认为你不合法，除非你满足过去的6-factor rule
但这次废除了6-factor rule，换成了更宽松的这个法规
所以是不是未来unpaid intern就一点都不用操心cpt了么？ |

这是怎么回事, 我记得至少要等4天才能关case, 32天内关都可以, 都可以拿回fvf

发帖数: 25790 | 9 BIN以后，才发现卖家居然只收MONEYBOOK，不收PAYPAL。我道歉也道了，说取消BID，
而且我也说会给他报答，即使取消了交易，也会给他留最好的FB。
结果人家非要我MONEYBOOK付，要么就直接从PAYPAL REQUEST MONEY。我都同意如果他
CANCEL以后，RELIST把PAYPAL作为付款方式，我会再买。
结果卖家，硬要说，他会损失FEE。
我真搞不懂这个死脑筋的卖家。 我就不管了，准备吃UNPAID STRIKE了，反正我最近两
三年没吃过了。
我记得以前，吃了UNPAID STRIKE，只要DISPUTE，不管什么理由，只要第一次，你
DISPUTE了，都不记录STRIKE。
但是现在好像不行了，只有提供付款的证明，才能DISPUTE了？
是不是，我只能认了这个UNPAID STRIKE了？

Unpaid主要看做什么事吧。比如很多start-up喜欢给unpaid实习，这样你是去做
business development接触的事、所作的任务就会很多很广，不是简单的混简历，经验

发帖数: 1 | 15 背景：J1签证博后，来美近3年，16年10月换工作到现在所在大学。合同7月31日到期，
DS2019表过期时间与合同同为17年7月31日。
老板7月初忽然告知不能再续合同。我立刻寻找下家，现在有其他学校某老板口头给了
offer，但还没有invitation letter. 因为DS2019过期在即，估计J1 transfer很难在
DS2019过期前完成。原本想在现老板这转为self-funded的volunteer继续维持J1身份，
可系里的chair说，不能在同校同系继续做self-funded的visiting scholar，因为这违
反了劳工法, 所谓“不允许你在这里work as a slave".
我的问题是：1.J1可不可以申请unpaid leave? 有没有可能可以让老板续合同，相应和
续DS2019，但我申请unpaid leave,放弃或者自付学校的医疗保险。老板只要不出钱，
应该怎么样都愿意，但这样unpaid leave期间会不会不能进行J1 transfer，或者会不

周的，如果总共unpaid 4周，那就4个paycheck也就是8周扣完，这样你的pay每次都有
，没有断过。
我曾经请过一次unpaid，不过只有一周，hr还事先问我打算一个paycheck都扣完还是分几次扣，因为美国人有可能一次扣太多那个月就不够过日子的了。 |

发帖数: 727 | 20 刚刚丢掉工作，H1B的，公司给我30天UNPAID LEAVE，估计是要到8月底才报到USCIS。
但是我刚才问了律师，律师说UNPAID LEAVE 不行，因为你找到新工作后，要求提供给
USCIS 过去3个月的PAYSTUB.
而我8月份如果是UNPAID的话，就提供不了8月份PAYSTUB了。USCIS就得从7月底的算起
，因为我只能提供到7月底的PAYSTUB.
有没有经验的童鞋帮忙讲一下?

现在老板说想把这些unpaid bills清理掉 不知道什么原因应该不会再付了
那么是 点击那个unpaid的bills 点击“credit”来清理这个bill吗？
对P&L的影响是不是 让之前记录的expense减少了 AP也减少了？ |

现在给了offer果然是unpaid
没有过任何相关工作经验，编程水平很次，是去一下还是做题提高水平好？
去的话cpt和commute等等的支出，加起来差不多2-3k吧。。。

（例如回国期间），因为这期间人不在公司payroll上（我觉得应该是说在payroll上不

这个公司其他的intern都是paid，相当于这个unpaid intern职位是专门弄出来的，这

于Unpaid Internship， 说对将来申请绿卡有帮助； OIS的adviser说都可以，但学校
的professor说Reseach Assistant比Internship好，说后者是对学生的training,前者

发帖数: 422 | 50 我的OPT将在2012.1.14过期，可是我将在2011.10.31离职，经过和公司的协商，他们愿
意帮我将pay check平均分成4份。这样我就可以在10，11，12，1月底都有payment进账。
我的目的是想申请opt extension。USCIS在审核的时候是否会找现公司核实雇佣状态？
我有什么要注意的？
请问11，12，1这三个月是否算unpaid leave? 在opt期间用这种unpaid leave的方式保
持employment的状态是否合法？其实我这样做主要是不想产生unemployment gap，并可
以有更多的时间余地等新公司的offer正式confirm.
