consequences of a world full of men”。很顾名思义。
作为一个种群，人类男女比例在出生的时候应该是基本相等，自然比率男性相比女性要
略微高一些，基本解释是由于成熟期前男孩子稍微高危减员（冒险，打斗等等）。 从
全人类角度这个平均比例应当是比较稳定的107：100。
而人口学者们从上世纪七八十年代注意到在很多亚洲国家，比如中国和印度，男婴的出
生比率要远远大于女婴。而获得诺贝尔奖的经济学家森在九十年代初正式提出了“消失
的女婴”这个概念，并通过简单计算得出这个世界有上亿的女婴“凭空消失”了。这个
振聋发聩的结论一下子把男女出生率问题推向了社会，政治，发展，健康等各领域的风
口浪尖。
经过多年的研究调查和分析，在汗牛充栋的无数论文，假说和解释被讨论，辩论和证伪
之后，现在被基本广泛接受的说法是相当一部分的“消失的女婴”是在出生前被非自然
的人为的选择掉了，也就是针对女婴的堕胎。这本书就是从很多角度来分析和解释这个
现象的。

），那么这些物种里雄性对雌性比例应该很高，而实际调查结果却并非如此，他们的比
例非常接近1:1。后来英国的大统计学家费舍尔给了一个（据说不是他原创的）解释，
假如开始雄性多的话，那么雌性比雄性更容易找到配偶把基因传递下去，倾向于产生雌

了做这个砖头，为后面的牛人们打个前站，也让这个活动由俗及雅，由易而难。我下面
就随便聊几句这一期的“俗”和“易”。
我取了个很三俗的题目“几本有关男男女女的书”。刘瑜的《孤独的像个星球》和《那
么，爱呢》，都是讲男女留学生的情感故事，《一九九四年》讲的是中关村一个女学生
的恋爱故事。另一本非虚构类的书，Mara Hvistendahl的“Unnatural selection”讲
的则是生男生女和男女人口比例失衡的问题。几本书是在讨论活动时提及选定的，很有
偶然性。但是主题都很通俗，内容也都很易懂。
文学作品都有一定的时代人文背景。读巴尔扎克的《驴皮记》需要了解十九世纪初的巴
黎，读陈忠实的《白鹿原》需要了解十九至二十世纪的中国。而读刘瑜写的故事没那么
多事儿，因为她讲的就是我们这个群体的当代故事。里面的人物都似曾相见，故事都如
有耳闻，掌故都耳熟能详。这个群体，中国人认为你在美国，美国人认为你来自中国。
他们都没错，就是都不把你当自己人。与中国人隔着太平洋，与美国人隔着一道墙。这

babies as much as they like. when the population pressure is too high, it's
time to start wars, either expand the country or kill off the extra
population, the problem gets solved anyway. that's the only natural and

If Sun Wei did it, why would other girls in her dorm

The basic fact is that 朱令离奇“铊”中, and it is not
clear which 铊 salt was used, and who did it.
Based on statistics from previous cases all over the world,
it is more likely a homocide (70%). However,
considering Zhu's sister died of unnatural causes at
similar age, suicide is a formal possibility (30%).
People of close contact to Zhu are suspects. These
include her roommates, boyfriend, social contacts

这个推断虽说逻辑上正确，但真不是正常人并且对案件很熟悉的人（照你自己的说法）
能说出来的。一个想自杀的人谁会去选择这种慢性自杀，两次投毒，并且在期间坚持演
出学习。我猜你是想暗示姐妹俩也许有遗传精神病。对于你这种毫无根据的猜测，我只
