共产猪贴出来了几张58年秋季大炼钢铁的照片（http://www.mitbbs.com/article_t/History/31648803.html）。也间接证明了大饥荒的说法是谣言。
第二张照片里的老农民，身材明显很健硕，没有肥肉，只有肌肉。
要知道，当58年拍照片的时候，应该是想不到若干年后有一个叫Herzog的id，竟然不看
小高炉，只看里面的老农民；所以说，摄影师应当是不会大动干戈，找很多吃的很健壮
的城市人去扮演农民的。
以前，我也转贴过中广网的一些照片，从50年代到70年代都有，反映的都是农村群众（

随便说说，斑竹觉得不合适就删。
美国社会不是中国社会，不存在基于民族大团结的unified ethical standard，也不存
在基于强力政府的强力管理，甚至不存在足够长的历史。美国社会从一开始就是联邦制
。因此美国人特别擅长patch things up, 而不擅长未雨绸缪。如果出现局部混乱，在
美国必然是以族群和社区为利益中心抱团，短期内各家自扫门前雪。
所以拥枪只是手段，关键是在问题出现时，大家选择依靠自己，还是依靠政府？这也是
共和党和民主党主张的区别。
愿大家能更抱团，更合作，不要轻易落到那些无人在意的社会缝隙中去。 |

Katrina 到来前，新奥尔良政府预计会有混乱，基于某种奇怪的原因，把平民的枪都收
缴了。结果灾后FEMA救助太慢，暴徒横行，打家劫舍，“失踪”很多人。洛杉矶暴乱，
一开始只有几个路口，一个街区。基于某种奇怪的原因，没有警察进入骚乱的区域，但
又不阻止平民的车辆进入，造成不明所以的路过平民被拦截打杀。事态扩大后，又随之
收缩防区，到第二天才整队进入清扫。如果关注一下类似的事件，事态平息后，新闻媒
体除了短暂的哀悼和谴责之外，更多的是强调move on，looking forward，这不是媒体
不负责任，而是美国人的独立思维方式和强悍的个人能力让他们更容易的接受现实，接

据纽约时报中文网11月2日报道，过去许多年里，学校校长的职责就是确保学生们不在
走廊里打闹，或是在洗手间里吸烟。出了校舍大门，警报便宣告解除。
如今，学生会在社交媒体上发牢骚、冷嘲热讽，有时还会高声呼救，而教育工作者则拥
有更多对学生实行24小时监控的便利条件。有些学校正利用科技助自己一臂之力。若干
企业提供相关服务，可以过滤并搜集学生发在学校网络上的信息；少数几家公司目前还
推出了自动化的工具，便于筛查校外发在网络上的带有危险迹象的帖子。对于校方而言
，这就提出了一些新的问题：他们是否应该因孩子们在网上的发泄而加以管教？他们又
是否可以合法地这样做？
新近发生的一宗案件让问题变得更为紧迫。佛罗里达州一名12岁的女孩，不堪忍受同学
在线上和线下的无情欺辱，最终自杀身亡。
当局声称，领头欺负她的是年龄分别为12岁和14岁的两个女孩。两人已于本月遭到拘捕

位顺利当选，在地方政治史上创下单一选举丶最多华裔当选记录。在竞选期间被选民检
举接受业者招待前往中国旅游，现任学区教育委员张金生也顺利当选赢得连任。
本次地方选举在6日中午完成计票，25位华裔老将和新秀共同投入竞选，开票结果有19
位分别当选市议员丶学区教委和水局理事等各类公职，华裔当选人数不仅创新记录，过
去不曾有过华裔参政的选区里，也出现华裔新移民首度竞选就高票当选，另有7位华裔
非现任者击败对手赢得胜利。
这19位新当选公职的华裔有13位当选学区教委丶社区学院和图书馆理事，具体反应华裔
新移民来到美国仍保有教育为先的价值取向。在不同选区当选教委的佟仪（Tong Torng
）和陈正治（Cary C. Chen）通过媒体对选民承诺，教委任内将以个人在美成功经验倾
力为公众服务。
佟仪表示：“本次参与竞选主要目的就是服务大众，这几年在社区里做了许多和教育有
关的工作，包括在学区内倡议科技教育，举办活动让高中生和大学生参加科技竞赛，提
供优胜者奖学金。当选之后，我将继续推动科技教育项目，为更多人服务。”

被人问道：“Should we allow chinese to live？” 这样的问题依然处之泰然默默
接受的话，这样的人群会赢得其他人群的尊重吗？过度的善良只会被当作无能和没有骨
气。这是一个基本生存权的问题，在基督教中只有上帝有这样的权利，其他任何人都无
权决定他人的生死。
《独立宣言》中明确地表达了"All men are created equal" ，但在近300年后的今天
Jimmy为何敢把他个人凌驾在Whole Chinese之上问出这样的问题呢？只能说他的潜意识
中确实是非常的贬低Chinese。
当被人贬低到基本的生存权时，依然一声不吭，默默承受，这样的结果是必然助长对方
的霸道。

Problem is, if a coup happens suddenly, and the whoever came in power
immediately announce plan to unconditionally unify with S. Korea, it would
be very hard for China to do anything to interfere with it. That would
create a very bad precedence for unification with Taiwan. |
