Rodents are a problem not just because they can destroy personal property
and create problems with a home's structure, but also because they can
spread serious diseases to humans and their pets. Rodent-borne disease may
be spread directly -- by touching rodents or their Rat in a PVC pipeurine,
feces or saliva -- or indirectly -- by coming into contact with fleas or
other insects that have fed on an infected rodent host. Inspectors should

The public is now getting lots of medical propaganda about the eradication
of smallpox through vaccination. But in fact, the consensus among leading
medical historians that have studied the question have maintained that the
eradication of the zymotic, or "filth" diseases, like cholera, dysentery,
typhus, plague, in the past that are popularly attributed to mass
vaccination campaigns, had actually been due to improvements in diet,
hygiene, sanitary measures, non-medical public health laws, and ... 阅读全帖

拿破仑军队卫生不好,typhus 极易流行,45万人到莫斯科就剩8万人能打仗了。再加上
严寒,能省点人回来就不错了。

Some 7 million combatants on both sides are estimated to have died during
World War I, along with an estimated 10 million non-combatants, including 6.
6 million civilians.[citation needed] The civilian casualty ratio in this
estimate would be about 59%. Boris Urlanis notes a lack of data on civilian
losses in the Ottoman Empire, but estimates 8.6 million military killed and
dead and 6 million civilians killed and dead in the other warring countries.

Grada论文摘要
Frank Dikötter’s Mao’s Great Famine {henceforth “MGF”} is the
longest and most detailed study of the Great Leap Forward (GLF) famine to
appear in English to date.{…} The tone throughout is one of abhorrence and
outrage, and sometimes MGF reads more like a catalogue of anecdotes about
atrocities than a sustained analytic argument. In style and approach it
recalls Jung Chang and Jon Halliday’s controversial Mao: The Unknown Story
(2005); indeed, Chang leads the ”praise” for MGF on t... 阅读全帖

Soviet forces were the first to approach a major Nazi camp, reaching
Majdanek near Lublin, Poland, in July 1944. Surprised by the rapid Soviet
advance, the Germans attempted to hide the evidence of mass murder by
demolishing the camp. Camp staff set fire to the large crematorium used to
burn bodies of murdered prisoners, but in the hasty evacuation the gas
chambers were left standing. In the summer of 1944, the Soviets also overran
the sites of the Belzec, Sobibor, and Treblinka killing centers.... 阅读全帖

by Mark Twain from Fables of Man (1908)
Little Bessie was nearly three years old. She was a good child, and not
shallow, not frivolous, but meditative and thoughtful, and much given to
thinking out the reasons of things and trying to make them harmonise with
results. One day she said --
"Mamma, why is there so much pain and sorrow and suffering? What is it all
for?"
It was an easy question, and mamma had no difficulty in answering it:
"It is for our good, my child. In His wisdom and mercy the Lo... 阅读全帖

Reject the Lie of White "Genocide" Against Native Americans
Michael Medved
Few opinions I've expressed on air have produced a more indignant, outraged
reaction than my repeated insistence that the word "genocide" in no way fits
as a description of the treatment of Native Americans by British colonists
or, later, American settlers.
I've never denied that the 400 year history of American contact with the
Indians includes many examples of white cruelty and viciousness --- just as
the Native America... 阅读全帖
