一个薄一些的，hot plate上面的wafer soft bake完了一挑就起来的。看了一个
Excelta 491-SA，不知道好不好用。以前用过一个technician的tweezer，很好用，但
是忘记型号了。 |

We worked on all the techniques in the single molecule field. We are
currently looking for people to build optical tweezer, combination of
optical tweezer and single molecule FRET, magnetic tweezer and the
combination of magnetic tweezer and FRET, AFM, patch clamp and the

你都说了，他是早期想做但没有做成，历史上只承认谁先做的。对于交叉性的领域，重
要的是谁先把某个工具用到什么样的研究上去。如果一直没有人把optical tweezer用
到生物上，他的工具再好也白搭。如果没有optical tweezer, 还是会有很多工具用来
做单分子。
况且就你列的那些人，那么多单分子的工作在他自己做的单分子工作之前就出现了。
你如果看看wikipedia关于optical tweezer，就没提他是pioneer optical tweezer在
生物问题中的应用。

Do you have chewing gum?
If you do, just put one in your mouth, chew on it for a few minutes to get
it soft, then put the sticky chewing gum on the tip of a thin rod, make sure
that the tip of the rod with the chewing gum reaches the broken key and sticks thereto,
and "glue" the broken key out.
You might want to have a tweezer ready so that when the broken end is out just a tiny bit, grap it with the tweezer and drag it out.

FRET, tweezer做得不多 ,不涉及拉扯.主要研究平衡或非平衡态下得分子自发形变.
Bustamante,block主要是optical或者megnet tweezer,荧光涉及比较少,主要是生物分
子受力下的机理.
这两拨人做得东西相差甚远,但都涉及生物过程的动力学. 但是分析数据的方法不太相
同.
其他的single molecule方向还有sunny xie的活细胞confocal,小薇他们在做的super
resolution等等等等
要是想跳最好找个好老板,这行比较看血统,都是嫡系把持的.好老板还是有很多能做的
好方向.还有就是想清楚是想做哪种single molecule,分类太多了. |
