主基督预言到，在世界末日及他再来之前，必先有一些预兆（signs）会发生。马太24
：3-14所论之预兆中，第一样的预兆乃是异端、邪教之兴起--必有假基督、假先知起来
，迷惑多人，甚至连选民也迷惑了（太24：4-5，11，24）。其次，提后4：1-4亦预言
到末日来到之前，人会厌烦纯正的道理，随从自己的私欲、偏向荒渺的言语。现今世代
的异端中，专向这些对真理模糊不清的「教友」入手传教的，是耶和华见证人。1984年
，美国耶和华见证会宣布加入他们教派的人中，逾百分之八十是从天主教和基督教而来

说732年深秋，穆斯林Umayyads的大军向巴黎进攻。Umayyads的军队这时候主要是装备

说732年深秋，穆斯林Umayyads的大军向巴黎进攻。Umayyads的军队这时候主要是装备
长枪和弯刀的阿拉伯重骑兵和berber轻骑兵。此前刚刚在Bordeaux打败了Aquintaine的
军队，杀敌无数，掠获无数物资，士气正忘。我用忘字的意思是穆斯林军队忘了先派侦
察兵探路了。
结果走到Poitiers和Tours中间的时候，突然发现前方山坡上树林中隐约有法兰克重步
兵结一字长蛇阵（phalanx）。这个一字长蛇阵是希腊人常用的阵，但是在苏美尔人时
期就存在了（见下图）。
如果Umayyads骑兵想去巴黎肯定要冲过这个一字长蛇阵。但是这个阵在山坡上，还有很

止一个。Bathing in the roof是David and Bathsheba的事，she cut your hair指的
应该是Samson和Delilah的故事。这首喊了那么多Hallelujah，其实充满情欲啊。他另
外一首By the rivers dark也是首宗教歌曲，很暗黑。把Babylonian exile反着来。他
的另外两首宗教题材的歌我也挺喜欢，一首是Amen，一首是who by fire.

不知道别人看到Severus这个名字想起什么。土人俺能想起来的是罗马皇帝Lucius
Septimius Severus。这个人可能跟harry potter关系不大，见谅。
要说Lucius Septimius Severus，先要从电影Gladiator 说起。电影gladiator里面的
罗马皇帝的原型来自Commodus。这个Commodus基本和电影里面演的差不多……我改，比
电影里面还恶劣一点。不过没和电影里一样死。而是被官员派的摔角手在192年12月31
日刺杀。
第二天，也就是193年1月1日，参与刺杀Commodus的Pertinax成了新的罗马皇帝，大家
也迎来了新的一年。当时肯定没人知道，这一年，罗马将会诞生5个皇帝，历史上称为
the year of the five emperors。
Pertinax是一个被解放的罗马奴隶的儿子（罗马奴隶被解放的时候要走一个戴尖帽子的
仪式，前面说过了）。Pertinax一开始是个交语法的老师，后来当兵，后来战功卓越，

这是在Hogwarts北面的小镇。Hogsmeade是“猪（hog）的蜂蜜酒（meade）”的意思。
不知道有多少人问过hogwarts和hogsmeade在什么地方，书里说在苏格兰北部的Moray的
Dufftown附近。
Moray的位置如下。
不知道有多少人注意到哈利波特里面有好多苏格兰人名和苏格兰地名，也许是因
为作者住在苏格兰吧。住在苏格兰在很久以前的人是picts，苏格兰又被称为caledonia。
Hogsmeade是大约1000年前Hengist of Woodcroft建立的。Woodcroft里面Wood的意思估
计大家都知道。Croft是来自古德语的一个词，现在用来指苏格兰的小农场。
至于Hengist，这就是一个长故事了。
话说很久以前，不列颠岛是和欧洲大陆以及爱尔兰连在一起的。后来冰河结束后，海平
面上升，这太远了。

含的意义的。例如Game of thrones里面的人物。在Beowulf里面，龙被称为Stark
heart，所以Stark家族里面有真正的Stark heart的人就是真龙了。而lannister家族的
