技术方面不知道是不是有很高的要求。听朋友说好像这个公司人员流动比较大。不管怎
样，能进去作几年对以后的发展应该有帮助。
我的情况Ph.D, PE, 三年US结构设计经验，国内3年桥梁设计/监测经验，目前是在一个
50人公司做structural project manager。老婆毕业要到其他城市，所以要换工作。
project management 方面觉得自己还可以，但是高层只作过一个。请知道 Thornton
Tomasetti 或者在其他做高层的大公司工作过的兄弟给些信息。我包子不多，只有5个

推荐我的话被聘用的几率要高很多，而且他们可以从公司领到referral fee.

做个大项目，的确能BUILD UP RESUME，不过感觉自己就像一台机器上的一个螺丝钉一
样，做的都是很简单的东西，随时都有人能替代自己。我还是更倾向于一些
CHALLENGING的东西，不一定越大越好。
FORENSIC很好，很有前途，收入也很好，就是苦一点，累一点。你自己选择。 |

哪儿的 score? Thornton Creek 这几年好像掉了不少，Great school 从10分变9分了
。Northville 有 Gifted program, 听说今年 Thornton Creeks 进 gifted 远比不过
Northville 南边的几个小学。也许和两年前 Northville school district cut
budget, layoff 老师，最好的老师要么退休，要么因为年资短，只能被换到其他学校
。有些差的老师却因年资长，可以留下来。后来校长离开到其他学区当director去了，
招了个新校长有关吧。

当然评选结果是Mao是Odd man out啦。这个结论不奇怪，作者是Georgetown U.
的professor嘛。
这本书我是在书店厚着脸皮花了一个下午看了个大概。感觉就是某些人谓“韩战
咱们是丢了台湾没捞到实际好处，结果还和美国大财主闹僵了”的论点来源吧。
这本书也就是因为这样就把Odd man的帽子送给了毛泽东。
虽然观点pro-american，不过韩战的来龙去脉还是讲的挺清楚的，而且比较新
在书店就可以看到啦！
不过我读后，我评选的结果是Truman才是真正的odd man out。当然Thornton不会
干这样的事了。他写老毛本来是想在美苏之间玩一个平衡的游戏，想既不得罪苏联
又不得罪美国，甚至还暗示苏联中美那个时候有了的那么一些暧昧关系，想从
苏联那儿多弄点援助。美国当然也是老毛算计之内的财主，不过斯大林是存了心
想拉中国下水，而且当时苏联也是唯一现实的援助来源。老毛靠向苏联就没啥好奇怪

个福利网站可以买我们的停车支票，好像有优惠。我就去网站买个4个月的，每个月一
张。没想第一个月寄给我的时候是4张支票，那时候是12月月底，我以为使他们一次把4
个月的都寄给我了。可是到了1月底他们又给我寄了4张支票，我就打电话给他们说这个
问题，但是我当时也不确定是不是我出了问题，所也没有要求退回支票，只是说取消以
后所有的的支票预定，我记得那天是2月8日。因为我3月底就要搬家了。本以为这个事
情就结束了，没想到才刚刚开始，4月15 的时候我的工资单上显示他们又开始扣我的钱
了，我就给他们打电话，他们说我只取消了3月份的支票，我说不是的，我说的是取消
所有的。我疑问虽然不是很好，但是我还是很相信我这个是不会说错的，然后他们就说
这个每月12号之后不能取消，因为支票已经邮寄出来了。因为我们3月31日房子就到期

Traffic wise you best bet would be hop on I-70 north to Thornton or I-70
to I-225 to Cherry Creek /Cherry Hills Village.
I have two great home listings in the Cherry Creek school district in
Englewood for sale right now in the low $300s. May negotiate further coz
