真正的 thin 是瘦得干不了别的活, 没有 server 啥都不能做. 这才叫 thin client.
你说的这些 Google computer, i Pad, .... 个个都要好几百美元甚至上千, 而且都制
造精美, 本身就能做很多事情. 这些不是 thin client.
不是外观看起来 thin 就是 thin. 要省钱, 尤其是 small business, 省钱才是 thin.

old outer shim + old inner shim + old brake pad <---> disk(rotor) <--> old

根据网上研究，inner shim 是有上面有缝隙的，outer shim是没有缝隙的。
既然这个贴片是shim，那么装了以后是：
old outer shim + old inner shim + new shim+ new brake pad <---> disk(rotor)
<--> new brake pad + new shim + old inner shim + old outer shim。
每个brake pad 有三个 pad shim，这样对吗？

就注册去上课了，发现价格已经改了，是$19，
不过用promotion code (X2B-C8B-A94) 依然可以减少$2。
现在已经不能只是开着电脑耗时间了，我试着开机，但出去了3-4个小时，回来就要求
重新log in了。而且也不能直接参加final exam，必须答对各章的所有试题才能到达
final exam，而且各章的题目之后还有一题“security question”，就是问关于前面
学习材料中的图片、录像中的内容，所以还不得不点击看看，总共也需要不少时间。不
过有个节约时间的方法，就是先到问题的一页，看完问题再点击“previous”回到前一
页寻找答案，利用IE的“编辑”菜单下“查找（在当前页）”的功能可以快速定位。如
果中途log off再回来log in，得一页页翻过之前做过的章节，不过不需要重新做题就
是。到达上次退出地方，就自动加载之前这一章的内容。

还是要按成绩录取。学校里亚裔多主要都是走大部分正常成绩录取路线，基本没啥人去
thinly那里挣配额。而且一般概念里，小于20%才能叫thinly。
这要是把总量都搞加减分配额了，不就是违宪嘛，这是怎么justify出来的啊？ |

client，往少说，3年前所有的技术就ready了，可是市场就是不接受。
所以我反而觉得，在android/ios上面跑client software，运行比较heavy的office软
件，比较make sense。说句实话，上个网页，还要绕个大弯从DC stream下来，多费劲
啊。
你要说便宜，按目前这个发展速度，200以下的7in, 300以下的10in, android班子，今
明年就会出来， 100刀以下的dummy盒子，就算50，客户都不一定买，差150-250，多了
屏幕，ip电话，摄像头，等等。
这个thin client还是个发展的事物，要是纠结这个字眼，就是自己和自己过不去吗。

按照golub 和van loan的经典表述，数学家们常用的SVD里面，D不是方阵，而是一个跟
X_{m-\times-n}一样维数的矩阵，1到p的对角线为非负实数，p=min(m, n)。但是thin
SVD的表述下D已经被截了，成为一个p-by-p的对角阵，p=min(m, n)
通常大家都用thin SVD的表述法

够，下面是两个商家的best ideal cut的比例，只要各方面差不多的应该就问题不大。
我觉得全深比和台宽比一定要在严选里面。另外比较容易被忽略的是gridle。如果腰太
厚，可能这里就给你浪费好几分的石头，不划算的。毕竟其他数据都是令到光线最大可
能的被反射，但肉眼也不是光谱仪，差一点看不出来，腰就是实打实的钱了。
另外要注意是冠角和亭角，它们对钻石的闪耀度影响最大。根据数学计算，34.5度和40
.75度是最好的比例，但很难有钻石达得到，只要在严选范围内都不错。略微大的冠角
要配略微小的亭角，反之亦然，如下图所示。
