I just had a moment of terror when Google forced me to try the gmail's new
look, which looks terrible. And I could not revert to the old one for about
ten minutes while keep trying. I believe there will be worse things coming
given the tenacity shown by this group of people.
有什么好办法把GMAIL全备份出来吗？需要准备一下了 |

“夜惊”（night terror）属于比较吓人（足以让任何一个父母心碎）的一种。
具体症状：入睡后大约一个小时，突然醒来，同时伴随有尖叫，哭喊；然后会坐起来，
或者在床上爬，或者会自己下床，边哭边走，两眼大睁，一脸惊恐的样子。但是最吓人
的是，虽然他/她睁着眼睛，但是对你的安慰言语毫无反应，仿佛根本不认识你；如果
你企图抱她/他，会遭到拼命反抗，并且你根本无法把他/她从这种状态中唤醒，因为她
/他仍然处于极深度的睡眠状态。这种状况会持续5到30分钟，然后小孩便会自行恢复平
静，并且躺下继续睡觉。第二天醒来，大部分小孩子并不记得晚上曾发生什么。
原因：小孩子在从极深度睡眠到浅度睡眠的过渡过程中出了问题；具体原因不明，和白
天的过渡疲劳和精神压力有关。
应和其他睡眠问题区别开来：这不是噩梦（nightmare）,也不是癫痫(seizure)。
对策：儿科医生会告诉你，这是小孩子生长发育过程中的一种现象，并不属于生理上的
疾病或异常，通常小孩子会自行outgrow it.
对父母的影响：极大！！！！让人心碎，想象当你看到自己的孩子处于极度惊恐的状态

开始几天，我并没有在意。两三天之后，才意识到有问题，自己做了一点研究，也就放
心了。后来也和医生谈了，医生也只是建议在小孩子发作之前主动把他/她唤醒。在后
来就没有发生了，真是恶梦一般的一段日子啊。 |

点不定,突然大哭然后拳打脚踢,过一会自己又睡着了. 最近几周有些频繁, 几乎隔一天
一次,有点担心,不知道是什么原因.我们很注意睡前routine和不让他过度兴奋,还是没
有用...郁闷. 儿医好象也没有什么好的建议, 跟网上说的差不多.

于大人的亢奋状态），如果因为这个频繁叫醒会导致更严重的睡眠不足，最后进入一个
怪圈。另外把深层睡眠中的人叫醒会非常损害身体。
一般我觉得一个晚上睡好了就会有很大的改善了。或者就是尝试着午睡多睡一会儿。 |

忽悠小娃没有成功。我提议去NH，小娃问我们如果开车路过Boston，会不会有危险？

大娃的同学之间已经在讨论了，说是ISIS的首领已经被美国炸死了，她和同学们一方面
觉得美国很牛，一方面觉得已经安全了。没想到还有潜在危险。大娃在写一篇关于百老
汇的文章。本来这次是要去看一场百老汇的show，也取消了。大娃非常失望。
昨天，给两个娃看了几个视频，交代了一下前因后果。fear 肯定有。更多的是，我不想
度假的时候，周围全是荷枪实弹的警察。
我正在努力找另外的trip，晚上全家一起讨论。
