象摆地摊一样, 一家一家的放满了各种gear, 衣服, pack, climbing gear, kayak...
好多东东都叫不出名字, 咳才发现自己outdoor 还没入门. 最让偶动心的是一副
rossingol bandit B3的板子带binding, 尺寸也刚好, 才要125刀, 就是刃开始有点生
锈了, 腰部有明显P-tex的痕迹, 还是忍住了. 再有就是一副G???的12 point crampon,
是铝的, 要75刀, 算算和自己在REI 20%再加dividend买下的BD 也差不多. 转了一圈,
crampon就已经没了.
9点店开门, 就随大流涌入了demo ski的sale, 各版本的black diamond AT 和telemark
ski 加binder, 在375~450刀之间, 一眨眼间, 就被哄抢一空, 好几个人手里抱着2,3
副ski, 还有boot. 感叹老美真有银子呀. 摸摸自己瘪瘪口袋, 还是回家吧, 秋天俺们
再杀回来. |

发帖数: 39815 | 17 早就计划玩玩backcountry ski, 直到这周, 才找出时间来. 以前玩过crosscountry
ski, 这次想搞个downhill的玩玩, telemark咱不会, 还是来randonee吧.
看了一下附近, 比较合适的只有Mt.Hood和Mt.St. Helens, 考虑到下周要带队爬St.
Helens, 索性把目标选在那里, 顺便踩踩盘子 (不过这个ski选的不好, 也可以说地方
选的不对, 这是后话).
出发前最重要的几件事情:
1. 查天气, 周末晴天, 唯一担心的是太热
2. 查雪崩预报, 因为温度高, 雪崩危险系数比较高, 决定最高走到tree line
3. 因为是solo, 所以出门之前要把自己的计划, 行程, 最迟返回时间告诉紧急联系人(
照例还是骚扰Deling). 真的出了事情, 起码有个盼头, 就算挂了, 也有人给收尸:D
早晨9点, 到了trail head. 今年雪大, 这个trail head不是真正意义上的trail head,
实际上是通往Marble Mtn sno-park的一段公路还没开通, 停车的地方距离真正的

还是sac买的, 170的板长, 号称适合重量155-175lbs, 对我来说比较合适, 如果负重,
也许有些短.
板子参数: 126/93/114, 典型的powder ski, 看他自己的描述和网上的评论, 在powder
和crud上表现良好, 非常稳定, 在firm snow上也一样可以carve, 估计在icy的雪面上
没戏.
这款ski既可以做AT ski,也可以用于telemark, 换不同的binding就行了. 一副ski重
8lbs左右. 加上binding和boots, 又是20多磅了, 还是轻不了.
这款ski的另一个特色就是表面的图案很花, 像是涂鸦, 被很多人误以为是park里用的,
记得以前在ski版上还和别人辩论过ski表面的涂鸦问题, 这算是一个很好的佐证了.
现在boots有了, ski有了, 接下来搞个binding和skins, 俺的 AT ski计划就算是完成
了, 整个package 成本控制在1k以内 |

crystal started to show up in my water bottle around 6a.m. in the afternoon,
it was hot.
wind is very minimum the whole day.
I didn't bring my ski but I definitely will bring it next time even the
extra weight makes it harder to climb but the reword of descent is great.
I noticed most climbers were with telemark or AT equipment. The snow covers
well from top to parking lot. |

you buy light weight Tele boots they are less expensive. Some tele boots are
just as heavy as light weight touring boots ie: Scarpa. Either Tele or AT
can be cheap if you look for deals in the summer.

两周前和朋友们到heavenly滑雪住motel 6。阴差阳错谁也没记得把我车上snow rack上
的ski/snowboard谢下放到房间里去。结果是：朋友们两块崭新的snowboard和我钟爱的
Volkl AC2不翼而飞。可笑的是我的telemark ski居然被留了下来，大概是不好卖的除
去？
警察来了说snow rack上不上锁对小偷没什么区别。只能认栽了。
提醒大家节日期间注意防盗。丢了东西影响滑雪心情。 |

put climb skins under the skis. This guarantees you to climb up to 30-35
degree slope on skis.
The other mode is downhill mode, in which you lock your heels, like alpine
downhill ski. You can get down a mountain like a alpine skier.
However, I think the one you saw in ski resorts is telemark, which you can
always lift your heels. |

一套 ski,AT binding (tele 的便宜一些, 不过要从头学了) boots, climbing skin,
就要上千, 还是打折后的价格. backcountry的一套东西也要有, 象beacon, shovel,
probe ........

while using snowshoes, you can actually climb up to 20-25 degree
