btw, shouldn't the driver be in some kinds of directory?

6.0,看了一下29兆的说明书，眼睛都直了，折腾了一个晚上，居然
豪无头绪，哪位豪兴的朋友拉我一把，告诉我应该如何开始安装
其实主要是LINUX下环境变量的设定和SYBASE环境的设定，
我在sco unix openserver5.04下装SYBASE N次，都非常成功
但安装前也有好多系统窜数要改动设定，请问大虾
如何设定SYBASE 安装环境和系统传数呢，能安装即可，不要求优化
系统。谢谢 |

到移动总部的《关于加强新建IT系统中数据库、中间件和备份软件采购管理工作的通知
》邮件，说中国移动在数据库的采购中原则上使用sybase，不能使用sybase的需要报总
部审批，原先大量使用的Oracle数据库可能即将被Sybase取代。
记者查看了通知原文发现，中国移动2009年新建IT系统数据库、中间件和备份软件
产品及服务集中采购工作已经完成，为进一步加强新建IT系统中数据库、中间件和备份
软件的集中采购管理工作，中移动已经通知各省、自治区、直辖市公司，将要求各省公
司新建IT系统中所需的数据库尽量使用采购清单中的产品，数据库要求使用Syabase,
不能使用sybase的需要报总部审批。

我们之所以不用IDE做GUI是因为我们的frame不是直接的javax.swing.JFrame.而是Sybase
Central的什么东西,因此用起来实在不那么容易.不过Sybase Central Java Edition做出
来的GUI确实很好看.你甚至可以用它做Oracle/DB2的GUI,如果你知道怎么用他们的JDBC的
话.目前Sybase已经放弃了C++版的Sybase Central.ASA的管理界面完全是JAVA的.ASE的好

其实简历上人人写得差不多,具体的理解还是不一样.
那个LIST上面,都是我做过的,但是需要花工夫的,只有两样,
一样是C++,另一样是SYBASE.
C++我不敢说精通,但是我觉得一般的情况我能应付.
我是从EFFECTIVE C++入门的,到EFFECTIVE C++ PLUS,看完之后,基本上觉得
可以应付一般的情况了.后来看到林锐写的那篇怎么做个好程序员,又在很多
公司(大约有6个)有过实际经验,相互印证之下,觉得哪些东西在实际中有用,
哪些在实际中没用,都有数了.不知道各位有没有这个体会.
SYBASE主要是功能利用上的东西,其实真正需要自己做的不多,只要对数据库理论
有扎实基础就行了.我没有接触太多ORACLE,但是用过之后,觉得其实和SYBASE差
不多.至少基本的东西都类似,凡是大型数据库,某个功能,这里有的,那里肯定会
有.厂商都不是傻子,互相抄.只是有些体系结构不一样而已.
其他的东西嘛,拿来就用而已.只有一个东西,UNIX,可能需要一点系统管理经验,
不过说实话,除了修改接触内核,谁去管那些东西呢?

replication server b4 and they worked well.Microsoft sql server is similar(if
not exact the same) to sybase.If it has such big latency problem,does it mean
that it's not suitbale for real time system?
btw,who can feed me the relationship(or history) between sybase sql server and
microsoft sql server?I am 2 lazy to do the research lah. |

I only build GUI's as Sybase Central plug-ins. I start from hand coding
the panels - The viewer frame is already provided by Sybase Central.
However I have to follow all the Sybase Central rules to make it work.
Also I need to take care of all the localization issues etc. Last time
it took me 6 weeks to build a GUI comprised of about 30 panels. |

People say oracl sucks,but at least their documentation is good.

至少这么大一家公司，里面还是能找得出点牛人来的

首先第一步，肯定不会马上提出什么解决方案，开始各种计算
那是书呆子的行为，当年我刚毕业时候，公司安排去拓展
有一个项目就是，给一组一堆任务，然后每一个任务都有不同权重
有些人拿到任务，不经过讨论，马上就着手阅读题目，然后开始按照题目要求做
这么做的问题就在于，有些任务权重低，但是任务本身消耗很大
所以有些人努力了半天，其实最后给组里面做出的是负贡献
鄙人其实也是其中之一，这个也没什么好否认的
但是从那以后，我做任何事情之前，都会 我慢
先别急，看清楚形势，分析后，决定优先顺序之后，再做不迟
上来就吭哧吭哧一顿做的，用当时教练的话说，都是书呆子
做事情要有的放矢，人的精力是有限的
好，那首先有了需求，然后先尽可能多地收集各种资料
其他资料也许你不会想到，但是铁道部现在有什么系统
尤其是现在有什么it系统，你总会想到吧？你不会天真地认为
这个需求就是从无到有写一个无依赖无关联的系统吧？
铁道部好歹也算是发展了几十年了，内部会没有一个正在运作的it系统？
其他不敢说，但是拍脑袋想，也能想到，里面肯定会有database

发帖数: 15421 | 42 12306首秀被骂的狗血喷头后铁道部找来IBM、阿里巴巴等大企业要解决方案，给出的条
件是资金管够但是问题得解决。几大企业最后都拒绝了（其中阿里巴巴最后负责了排队
系统的建设）。12306开始自己尝试解决问题。他们发现市面上可以买到的成套解决方
案都不足以应付春运购票负载，所以只能自己改进已有的数据库（注：其实是改用
VMware SQLFire/GemFire，这里我之前理解错误）。以前12306用的是小型机，发现性
能严重不足，遂改用x86系统+linux平台（原平台为HP Superdome小型机，UNIX系统，
Sybase ASE数据库）。最后他们的核心系统用了十几个节点（现在应该是17节点）的多
路Xeon E7（具体几路待考），每个节点配1TB内存，数据库全部在内存中运行。2013年
春运，12306系统峰值负载11万tps，与2012年淘宝双11活动峰值负载相当，新的系统基
本经受住了考验。
补充：以上内容是我在2013年7月得知的信息，彼时没有任何公开来源提到过12306新系
统的技术细节。甚至，当时局外人没人知道12306已经在2012年开始做了技术改造。直

看好。加上经过近40年积累，数据库功能繁杂，暗礁丛生，DBA多年经验可以累积增值
。不管是data modeling, performance tuning, system partitioning, 还是system
automation，都是越老辣越吃香。而且随着数据增长，新挑战也接连出现，能管理一台
MySQL和管理一千台MySQL显然不是一个数量级的。能调试每秒10个请求和每秒10K请求
也不是一个数量级的。存储10MB数据和存储10TB数据也不是一个数量级的。能用PL/SQL
完成一个单步事务和能用SQL解Sudoku显然不是一个数量级。DBA被动或主动地有了职业
路线。相比之下，如果你是NetWare的SA，多年前就悲剧了。如果你是某CRM的SA，没
有悲剧也快了。如果你是wireless network的SA，如果诸如Meraki这种公司壮大，也悲
剧了。所谓形式比人强。当然这不是说DBA就一定生活无虞。如果你10年前管理一台sybase,

先谈谈黄健翔的几个印象，
1）英语不怎么样，都是朋友帮他跟服务员打交道
2）五短身材，也就175cm左右，比起张斌同志，小黄身体条件实在可怜
3) 知识面不宽，俺把Sybase的名片递上去，他居然问俺Sybase是啥公司。我简直处理愤
怒了，我只好说FIFA 数据库服务商。旁边一个SAP的职员，也给了名片，居然这厮连SA
P都不知道是什么。。。（2006 FIFA World cup main sponsor 呀）。
4）跟姓黄的聊了半天，他觉得我不可理喻。我就把我laptop里跟两位足球大腕的合影给
黄老师show-off了一下。居然黄老师连这两位大腕都不认识，一个是刘国江，一个是郝
文生呀...........
太困了，明天把故事补全
