本報記者李曉謎、王鏑紐約報道：長島納蘇縣上周六發生一宗溺死慘劇。幾位華裔
青年原本結伴到沙灘抓螃蟹與摸蜆，豈料風高浪急，兩名華生被捲進水中受傷，其中一
位更不幸於事件中辭世。
慘劇發生在上周六（6日）下午，死者為21歲住在貝賽的王卿國（Ivan Vuong）與
另一位住在雷哥公園的21歲傷者孫高頓（Gordon Sung，音譯）和朋友一共十人，相約
到長島納蘇縣Mastic海灘捉蟹，豈料下午3點40分左右，岸上突然有人發現海中兩名男
子正在掙紮下沉，當時海岸邊並沒有救生員，民眾於是立即致電報警。
有人奮勇下海營救，及于離岸450呎外左右將孫高頓拉回岸邊，但卻未能找到王卿
國的蹤影。
一段時間後Mastic海岸的救援成員才找到王卿國，但已經失去意識。據負責此案的
探員John Sumwalt表示，王卿國被救上岸當時情況已經不容樂觀，在現場接受緊急處理
後便馬上被送到附近的Brookhaven Memorial醫院，孫高頓則無生命危險。
據指出，王卿國因為在水下窒息時間較久，雖然被送至醫院的時候仍然有心跳，腦

。國內安全部20日突擊紐約市19家華人雜貨店，以涉嫌以折扣價兌現奶票，套換現金，
詐欺政府，從中牟利，已逮捕13華人，詐欺總金額高達3000萬元。
聯邦國內安全部20日一早在紐約曼哈坦、布碌崙和皇后區查封這些雜貨店，目前已逮捕
13人，另有三人在逃，被捕的13人20日傍晚在紐約南區聯邦法院過堂。同時，紐約州檢
察官辦公室也逮捕捲入該案另外十人。
這起案件是近年來最大規模的華人奶票詐欺案，金額之高讓紐約南區聯邦檢察官巴拉拉
