发帖数: 883 | 9 285圈内的suburban最少要到Mount Paran, Powers Ferry那一块了。这里说起suburban
，似乎首要的一点至少要不通公交--一群suburban red neck老头老太太们都认为公交
、trail这种都会带来犯罪，所以每次有公交计划的时候都激烈反对。。。另外Lenox那
里离购物中心那么近，在亚特兰大这种铺的这么散，不管在哪里街上都见不到人的地方
来说，任何一个街上半小时内能见到超过10个人的地方，都算是urban的不能再urban的
了吧。。。
关于堵车。85绝对比75堵。。从midtown出来，如果用14街那个口上75，几乎一点都不
会堵车就可以直接到Cobb了。而上85的两个选择，一个是North Avenue那个口，5-6点
钟的时候在入口就得堵10分钟才能上高速。另一个是GA-13，也是经常堵得一动都不动
的地方。每次我一走那，就觉得还不如去North Avenue堵上10分钟上85呢。。。大概都
要接近7点的时候才能松开。偶住buckhead，现在基本都是7点回家了。偶尔5点多钟的

的选举county图，都是一个特征，蓝区面积都不大，但都是城市区域，80%以上投民主
党. 红区面积大很多，大部分是suburban，支持共和党一般是6:4样子。suburban住的
谁？大部分就是工作的工薪阶层。城市住的谁？ 是工薪阶层吗？大家都知道答案. 共
和党就是靠suburban工薪阶层的选票来追city的差距。
昨天的选举民主党把city的投票率做到了极致，可投票的人有工作吗？很多人没有。
看新闻吗？大部分人不看。 管自己小孩子吗？很多不管。 财务状况呢？大部分一屁股
债。 生活来源呢？很多救济。 基本就是什么也不care的人，不对自己负责，也不对社
会负责，可怎么突然投票这么有热情了？ 有人组织呗. |

1995-96年，我写《我在美国当农民》，为避免触犯“外事纪律”，特请北大
学长、驻美大使李肇星作序，他是美国最大的“外事纪律”。当年我写道：“美国的高
速公路不收钱，叫‘自由之路（Free Way）’，名实相符如他们的国歌——'这里是自

20多年过去，自由的大路越来越宽广，丹佛居然连公共汽车都不收钱。与此同

顶尖大学, 无论公立或私立, 当他们招收书虫生, 看待一所高中为一池,
招收顶尖学生.
在中国大陆, 看待一省为一池, 招收顶尖学生.
Therefore, 在中国大陆容易地选择一所高中， 在这里不容易.
在这里, 当孩子小，要选择学区，数年后,(也许10年以上) 在8-10分高中他们将 on
the top ?? ... 不容易预测

这辆车将会是两用的，即可以带小留出去，又能接送自己孩子。离婚后，为了孩子，可
能免不了和前妻及她父母去餐馆吃饭，短途游玩什么的，另外接送孩子上下学，所以需
要有minivan或大型SUV的容量。
另一方面，带小留出去，肯定她潜意识里和她同学朋友的车比较。那么和小留比豪比阔
恐怕没有胜算，你能买法拉利吗？另外，奔驰宝马奥迪也是小留的家常便饭。但是德国
车是样子货，中看不中用。所以不建议买德系车。
所以朋友倾向于日系或美系大型SUV。丰田Sequia,凌志LX，GX。或者尼桑armada,
infinity G80。或者Chevrolet suburban,GM Yukon。
考虑到国内来的小留通常对日系车有偏见。所以希望最后买美国车，大型SUV，成熟型
号。所以我建议朋友买Yukon或suburban。考虑到小留买这类车的比较少，也算出奇制
胜。

Suburban已经有65年的历史了，如果是作为大家庭用车，可以选择来作为mini-van的豪
华升级（动力，安全）。
Tahoe是full-size SUV，比Suburban应该略小，但是towing capacity很强。 |

发帖数: 1977 | 49 如果考虑老人的话，不建议买SUV，特别是Sequoia这种的，因为一是车底盘高，上下不
方便，二是cargo room小，人多了自然行李就多，cargo room要大一点才方便，特别是
有孩子要带stroller的情况。
Sequoia的价钱在full size suv里面可算贵的，比起suburban和expedition el都贵，
容积还要小15个cubic feet左右。不过suburban和expedition el都太长，车库装不下
，转弯和停车场停车也不方便。
enclave兄弟的cargo room是这三种车里面最小的了，第三排也最小。不过外形还不错
，油耗也不错。 |
