is familiar. The history of the facility after Japan's defeat is less well
known. Under various names, it did survive for some time, producing an odd

Don't understand your comments, my take is Japan stored many tons of Pu-
239 donated by the US as an deterrent against *****. Also Pu from spend fuel
has too much Pu-240, which is not suitable for fission bomb (extremely
difficult to separate from Pu-239, also like to explode prematurely), this
makes the spend fuel inappropriate for bombs.
As for Japan, my understanding is their Pu stockpile means Pu-239 w/o Pu-
240. Can anyone with better knowledge say say something here? |
