金苹果其实又叫榲桲，quince,在我国新疆地区就很多，金苹果在烹调中应用已经有几千年了，
有名的新疆抓饭就有用金苹果的。金苹果在中东，地中海地区的饮食里也很受欢迎。
我们要做的就是金苹果炖羊腿，这个菜在北非很受欢迎，做法变化很多，选了个突尼斯
的方子，大厨是领导，俺帮厨，本来早就要做了，不想一个不留神，羊腿被领导做光了

发帖数: 20 | 28 其实一般都不太贵，比中餐贵一点就是了。不喝酒不吃甜点前菜，一个entree一般十几块
钱。如果喝酒吃前菜吃甜点，$40/person很容易还打不住。我最喜欢的是在一个小巷子里
的一家人开的小馆子，叫做Tratorria Bon Gusto, 大厨是个女的，老妈打下手，据称是
西西里人。
有好些别的地方没有的东西，比如calamari stew，里面放土豆，番茄，红萝卜，泡橄榄
，还有capers，关键是炖得很辣，深得我心。前菜中，有一样是米饭团里面裹肉和cheese
，油炸，啊啊好吃啊好吃。还有prochiuto跟cheese裹在薄荷叶子里面做成的卷，啊啊好
吃啊好吃。
NYC里的little italy去试过两家，印象一般，但是可能是还没有找到好的，或者太
touristy。 |

发帖数: 7122 | 31 这个一句话很难说清楚。不同国家有不同cut，美国英国荷兰等国家切牛方法都不同更
不要说东西方的切法了，看你想怎么吃。就拿美国cut来说，一般好餐馆里的filet
mignon应该拿tenderloin做；top sirloin也不错但不知道为什么不管自己做还是餐馆
里都觉得top没有tenderloin嫩；round那块肉做beef stew；chuck那块做boeuf
bourguignon....
另外牛肉还分grade, USDA prime, choice, select, standard. 一般超市里多是
choice，好一点的超市有prime。去个好超市买USDA prime graded aged tenderloin做
出来肯定好吃。age过的肉会干一些，这样pan-seared出来才是sear的，而不会被“
boil”熟。

在grandview的一家欧州/地中海风餐馆，装璜简直就情调到一个不行，菜单是随季节经
常变换的，所以也不好说推荐哪一道，但是饭菜质量都很有保证。以前有一个smoked s
almon wrap的前菜，我很喜欢，可惜后来菜单上再也没见过。最近一次点了一个意大利
版炖猪肉，又酥又烂，味道也炖进到肉里去了，很不错。有一道seafood stew是常年在
菜单上的，便宜量足味道好。但是他家的服务就很烂，服务员都皮笑肉不笑的，动作还
很慢。另外，他家的lemonade续杯是要钱的，有一次一个朋友不知道，结果结账的时候
发现喝了10块钱的lemonade... @_@

I am still using them now. When you first come, you will feel that everything
is expensive, so better bringing sth first.:P
Actually,in your list, if you can, you can bring them all except for the
charger(unless you could use it at 110V). It's always nice if you dont'
have to buy anything here. Even I have been here for almost 3 years, i still
feel everything expensive compared the price in China.
