6个月前去Fire Stone做tire rotation, 他们做号称免费的检查，说我的steering
belt磨损已经很厉害，该换了。后来再到Carx换油，他们也说steering belt(他们书面
上说是serpentine belt)该换，否则早晚会断掉，而且换的话还得连同那个tensioner
pulley一起换，因为那个滑轮也有磨损，那么就不修，修的话就要整体修好。劳务连同
备件要收$120多。
今天找一个我认识的老黑修车工帮忙换掉那个steering belt。结果发现除了timing
belt,我的车有三条belt,分别驱动AC，alternator和steering pump。那个steering
belt拆出来没看到表面有crack,而且这个belt根本就没有tensioner pulley这个东西。
最后为平安起见，belt还是换了，买新belt花了$12, 人工花了$30。
难道大牌修车店都这样坑人吗？而且坑得异口同声。Carx还公开宣称不会lie和故意误
导顾客消费的。 |

2006 Chrysler Town & Country。真心说，这个车问题挺多的。买这个车的兄弟要有
心理准备。就拿这个power steer来说，每隔一两年，冬天的时候，它就会发出嗞嗞的
声音，一换它的油就好了。这次我想也应该是这样。
我是在一个周四的晚上去的。我后来想坏就坏在这个平时的晚上，修车的人很清闲，他
们就开始起坏心眼子了。要是周末，他们忙得时候可能会好一些。
车送进去，过一会，他们来人说整个power steer都要换，因为power steer漏油，要$
1200。我说能不能让我看一眼，因为我真的觉得这个不可能。首先，6年多了，每次同
样的问题都不是漏油；其次，平时我自己也修车（只是这种比较脏的事情，我才让
dealer来做）；再次，我每隔两周检查一次车，所有的fluid level都是看的，如果漏
油早发现了，也不用等到这个时候；最后，如果漏油，我停车的地方，比如说就刚刚我

我还没有试开过2014款。下面这些都是纸面数据上的比较，全部来源于Acura官网，假
如你觉得数据不对请跟Acura联系，我不打包票。
车体框架抗扭刚度，2014款比2013款提高了12.4%；
2014款的前后悬挂的防倾杆都比2013款要粗；
2014款方向盘的是电动助力，而2013款的是液压助力；
2014款转向系统steering ratio比2013款要大幅度减小，换句话说就是2014款方向盘转
小一点角度，就能达到跟2013款一样的拐弯效果；
2014款前后轮的刹车盘尺寸比2013款的要小一些（这个可以理解，毕竟车子轻了300多

如果是这样的话，那他们parts黑得太厉害了。Power steering pump，AAP也就卖$76,
还有30的core charge可以退。Rockauto上面最贵的也就两百吧。
现在我的问题是，有没有必要再跑去sunoco那个韩国人那里做一遍？
今天刚好要去Columbia那边，于是约了一家city-data上面老外们推荐做车检的车行叫D
obbin Auto Repair，说是很honest不会乱搞。我的车子是01年140k的老车。
结果被无情的fail了，毛病大概有一半是suspension吧，另外一半是power steering和
一些莫名其妙的东西。下面是他们列的repair，因为关门前才做完检查所以没来得及估
价，但是伙计很囧地跟我粗粗估计一下说是至少要1500。

发帖数: 836 | 32 我家一辆前轮的，一辆后轮的，我经常换着开。说实话，除了下雪，没觉得有啥区别。
要说每天都能感到的最大的区别，就是因为后轮驱动的车的differential占了很大空间
，导致trunk比fwd的浅了不少。其实两种车所谓的区别，什么under steer over steer
的，严格意义上讲，都是失控情况下的特性。如果你从来不把车push到失控的边缘，恐
怕很难觉出来区别。
如果是在赛道上，随时都在失控的边缘，就是另一回事了，fwd最大的弱点就在于驱动
和转向在同一组轮胎上，所以可用的traction要在这两个方面分配，还有就是万一前轮
打滑除了减速和steer into the skid之外什么也不能做。而rwd的车，driver对四个轮
子都有控制。
fwd的重量集中在前面，对赛车很不利，但是雪天优势就大了，呵呵。
fwd还有torque steer的缺点，不过这个很容易克服，用一样长的drive shaft就可以了。
fwd会under steer, rwd倾向于oversteer, 但是这个不是绝对的，跟你怎么入弯和前后
suspension怎么配很有关系，把fwd改成倾向于o |

steer的问题，这些大部分是因为原厂出厂的wheel alignment等，毕竟为了安全。M3原
厂camber 前-1.5 后-1.9，会有under steer，一脚大油门，会有一点snap over steer
。如果把后camber减到-1.4，车子马上变得很neutual。
MT还吐槽GT4 under steer。别忘了gt4是fully adjustable suspension (wheel
alignment, coilover, sway bar)加上fully adjustable aero.
看评论小白想上track简单玩玩，再加平时兜风，atsv性价比最高了。c63比较好玩些因 |

and I think your answer is right. And it's not only the left limit, the right
limit of steering may give you the same effect.
It's just when the steering comes to it's mechanical limit, the pinion won't
fall in between two teeth on the rack just in normal steering. Instead, the
pinion will try to get over the last teeth, which, because of the mechanical
limit is an obstacle it can't get over with. So the torsion bar will |

发帖数: 7283 | 40 BMW最便宜的1系的135上用的可是前轮6 piston，后轮4 piston的刹车。单piston就是
为了省成本。就算贵一些的M3用单piston那也是省成本，M3并非全车都是不计成本的设
计。M3在BMW出货给dealer这一步就已经要赚大约2万刀的纯利润，可想而知M3的实际成
本是多少钱。单点piston的缺点是刹车频繁的时候更容易过热。
C class的steering，我知道有人会拿出某本宣传手册说上面是如何如何写的。可能11
款取消了这个选项，但10款有一个额外的Dynamic Handling Package，里面写了另加
1500刀选这个package的话，会给你加上speed sensitive的steering，另加更直接的
steering ratio。假如标配已经就算是有speed sensitive steering的话，那就真不知
道大奔这个package是算啥回事了。 |

可惜既没有文艺青年的才情也没有二代的财力。
摸摸口袋，没几个钱，只得从了X5乞丐版，谁叫WSN攒车就喜欢讲究个性价比呢。
比起奔驰，宝马算非常厚道了，乞丐版X5起价才$47.5K但是发动机传动一点都不缩水，
有了这个基础，我才会有
终极目标：将$45K的乞丐版摇身变成$65K的运动型！
1，首先要改的是轮圈,由原配的18寸升级为20寸，还要升级相应的轮胎和TPMs
很喜欢Style336的样子，可惜原厂轮毂缺货而且太贵，否决。
X5的20”轮圈都是staggered set up，前 275/40R20，后315/35R20，这样就不能
rotate，而且那么宽的后轮，肯定废油...
猥琐心理作用下，选了4个aftermarket style 336 front rims，前后都用275/40R20。
接下来选轮胎也费了不少心思
宝马原配的RFT，磨损太快。四条胎要1500以上而且只能跑两万多。这样平均下来一年
在轮胎上就要花近$1K

MS3 > GTI
-excellent manual transmission, nicely weighted, good mechanical feeling.
-fantastic turbo surge, addictive power,but power drop over 5.5krpm is also
noticeable, don't go crazy and you'll be fine.
-better handling, more precise steering, more feedback.GTI a bit nose heavy
comparing to MS3.
-torque steer not that bad on 11, bad on 08.
-it's so much fun to drive...also you can get good price on them.
GTI > MS3
