你说的这篇文章我有空看一看,相信一定有意思,我个人认为是美国当大佬当惯了,什
么大事小事都要排在最前面,起码不落后才行。他们这种拿教育做文章的紧迫感,最早
追溯到50年代苏联发了颗叫sputnik 的卫星上天,这下可不得了,怎么能甘居人后呢
?我们的孩子们科学技术知识能和苏联比吗?这次我们落后了下次可不行。。等等。就
是争强好胜。所以这种紧迫感会总在,也会被不同的意见拿出来做文章。。

既然没有任何试点,没人知道 CC 是否真的能改进中小学教育。反正 Bill Gates 的孩
子们上的是学费超过 $20,000的私校(也是他的母校),一般公立学校的孩子作荷兰猪

只能一辈子做冷板凳,哈佛毕业生全是猴子我看也不会有人在意。
而大部分普通人的人性弱点就是沟命海心。普通人去不去哈佛,哈佛毕业出来的是猴子
还是蚂蚁,对人类社会都不会有任何影响。。。普通人不申请哈佛的理由不过是侥幸进
去了也是做个炮灰最终累死,外加学费太贵不值。。。

去年晒了个书单,有人说我读得多。这无非是我花在读书上的时间多。我常常会读到深
夜,已经是很多年养成的习惯了。今年虽然读的字数上很多,但是因为工作太紧张,又
重修了日语,很多时间读了钱锺书老人家所谓“休养脑筋”的不正经读物。现在列出来
的是觉得还值得读的。
和去年的Goldfinch一样,普利策奖的All the Light We Cannot See我也是在得奖前就
读过了。故事很引人入胜,气氛什么也安排得很好,但是觉得还是写得浅了一点,远远
比不上Goldfinch.
我读过这几部小说觉得写得都比它好。Ian McEwan的新作The Children Act – 我的确
一向偏爱McEwan,一部一部追过来。这本特别引起我情绪上的感动和伦理上的思考。书
中引用的叶芝的诗歌也让人惆怅不已。
A Constellation of Vital Phenomenon – 讲战后满目疮痍的一所车臣医院。书名有
点高深,据说这是某本医学书上关于Life的定义。几个人物都刻画得很有意思,看完有
点疲惫,也让人想很多。

刚巧,一个多月前看了, Great Gatsby and Ernest Hemingway's Sun also Rise :)
What can I say, they are of high quality yet it is sad to follow the doomed
tragedy of Gatsby. When we are looking upward at greatness on the earth, we
just didn't realize that the greatness has already passed us into the eternal
past, and we are the beat generation with lost dreams.
Just finished reading Haruki Murakami's Sputnik Sweetheart.
