What I feel shocked is the statement "3H as splinter is of course pure
nonsense", in particular the "of course" part, given that I personally know
many players treat 3H as splinter (including LOTS of world champions). To
have constructive discussion, we need to be open-minded to evaluate all
options. |

缺对着no waste，那就是在play a 30-point deck，２５点经常可以打满贯。如果能够
先期知道牌配合得好，就可以积极探贯。当然要检查控制，但你可以预期你们联手在将
牌和边花上都会有控。这就跟普通联手３３点能做满贯的道理一样。
至于“强牌"不用splinter，我认为只适用第一轮叫牌，比方1S-4C那种，因为占用很多
空间，而开叫方尚未有机会描述，只知道是至少５张黑桃，12-21点。经过一轮叫牌之
后的delayed splinter，没有限制性一说，因为开叫方已经作过进一步描述了，应叫方
能更精确地评估。 |

but we both think of it as splinter immediately. The reason is that we never
jump-shift to a new suit (as the responder) as a way for natural forcing.
Of course that doesn't mean playing it as natural is wrong.
I suppose your question is more centered at "what should be the default
agreement". Well, the default agreement is what makes most sense in your

None of them took 3H as splinter without specific agreements.
Not try to argue whether it is good or bad to play 3H as splinter,
rather, the point I tried to make is in the sense of general
principles.
Since it is never possible for a partnership to specify the exact
meaning of every bids, especially in later rounds of auctions, the
understanding of general principles is what separates winners from
losers.
