我还有一个多月就从Baltimore, MD搬到Ithaca,NY. Baltimore有Johns Hopkins
Hopital下的 Wilmer Eye Institute. 想问下这里的专家们是否了解那里的水平，以及
是否建议在搬走前去那里把手术做了？ Baltimore及Ithaca附近还有其他更好的医院和
医生推荐吗？
没保险的情况下，建议做手术吗？ 我现在没有保险，一直到去Ithaca前都
没有，去了之后还要看保险 (Cornell 的学生保险）是不是包括LASIK或者PRK.
什么范围内的收费比较合理？
我的眼镜度数如下：
SPH CyL AXIS
右眼 -3.00 -0.50 180
左眼 -3.25 -0.75 015
左眼的散光有点厉害，两只眼的视力差别有点明显，平时看电脑不戴眼镜，眼睛和大脑
容易累。这是我考虑手术的原因。

定义efficency当然要把编程时间和计算时间加起来考虑
对于小问题matlab划算，大的计算问题c，fortran划算。
好比你要做并行数值模拟hydro，MHD，GR，PIC,N-body，
SPH这种真正意义上的计算问题，没有用matlab的吧？
再说了，matlab licence很贵的 |

建议你多参考几个排名，尤其是stat，各个排名变化比较大。biostat的排名好像不多
，除了这个排名，你再看看usnews上school of public health的排名，那个包括的学
校比较多。而且大部分biostat都在sph下面，那个排名有一定的参考意义。我在另外一
个帖子贴了usnews的排名。 |

管不管。Michigan其实不算很冷，就是雪多点，习惯了就好了。我LD在SD住了6年，去
了Michigan还是survive了。
