小孩学阅读都是从读 picture book 开始的，有见从背字典开始的么？
当然，参加 spelling bee 比赛的话，另说。。。但那个是水到渠成
有的小孩喜欢，总不能一上来按 spelling bee 训练吧，南辕北辙。
比如说，小孩弹一个切分节奏，重音的转移。以及与后面正常节奏的小节
的对比。那也是小孩听过很多音乐，心里有切分节奏的概念，只是弹不出
来而已。总不能上钢琴学切分概念吧。。。当然，走专业方向培养童子功
的话，另说。。。

game，spelling之类的。所以美国有spelling bee，中国不会全民搞写字比赛吧。我
觉得还是文化不同。 |

8th graders). I felt it was completely waste of time. I told her not to

Just out of curiosity,maybe you had a typo? Your son won the 2nd grade
spelling bee, not 3rd grade? I remember "Turquoise" is a must-know word for
my son's class, who is a 2nd grader. Of course, my son's English level is
really low. He is not even qualified to compete in the spelling bee contest
in his school. |

问题做爸的很头疼:自尊心很强，以至于不让纠错。
回家路上，让作些spelling，可以spell的很高兴，答不出来得不让纠正，几个会合下
来，先是大叫，后来居然大哭起来。平时学新的东西也类似，太难的有挫败感后会发脾
气。

and Jan are pretty much the same in the two cities but chicago has a warmer
feb and march (although probably still cold by american standards). The main
difference is that chicago weather is more variable because it's west of
the lake michigan while toronto is north-west of lake ontario but has lake
erie west and close by. That means that in a warm spell, chicago gets warmer
, but in a cold spell, it also gets colder.

Yen Chuang (or family name first in either case).
The third son of Mr. Chuang Yen is Mr. Chuang Che, an artist. 莊喆 and his future wife 馬浩 (Cantonese) both went to Taiwan 師大美術系, where they met, and the family emigrated to US in 1973.

发帖数: 152 | 27 美国的学校是没有统一的教科书的，有可能有些知识点这个学校教了而那个学校还没有
涉及。尤其是基本的数学知识，没有教小孩子就一定不会，天才除外。我在转学的过程
当中并没有发现较差学区和好学区在学习内容方面的差距，词汇方面较差学区的考试方
式难于好学区，并不是简单地考察学生的spelling，每天的作业需要用词汇造句，每个
周五的考试也较为灵活。相反chatham 的学校考试较为简单，只有spelling和造一两条
句子。但是孩子的成长并不限于学习，还有其它各个方面。chatham硬件配置好，孩子
接触电脑早，校园大，甚至午饭质量我孩子认为也比Weehawken 好，早上8点有额外的
唱歌和chimes 班。我的孩子不是很聪明的小孩，有些别的家长认为很理所当然的事情
对于我来说可能是奇迹，所以这些都只是我个人的理解，你可以选择性的阅读。一句话
，我个人经验是可以等到孩子大些再搬到好学区是可行的。 |

是中国人写的。不过我看到一篇长文，也是有关Chinglish的，但却是美国人写的，很
有意思。这篇长文的标题是Chinglish 2 English（从中式英语到标准英语），作者是
浙江大学的美国外教Chuck Allanson，内容则是Chuck在中国五年任教期间所听到、所

New Mexico可能从Dallas过去太远了, 如果一定想去
呢, pentrified(spelled right?) forest, colored
desert可以一看. charco(maybe spelled wrong)有些
indian的古迹也可以看. 有一个小镇子的名字我忘了,
不过每年有一次全美印第安人的赶集似的盛典, 可以
买到不少好玩东西.

某华人教育学教授研究ABC成长问题，不少abc心里都不太健康，自身认同和定位迷茫，
尤其是男生，他说学中文对abc心里健康有很好帮助。
同事一个国男白女后代，正式名字可是汉语拼音哦，不是mike，emily，john之流。自
己说我是chinese，非常自信，单位业务骨干，在家也非常能干。本科就用奖学金买了
房子。
有正确的自我认同很重要。

We both attended The King's Academy in 6th grade, which was roughly 50 kids
in the class. Given the small size, I got to know him fairly well even
though he only stayed at TKA for a year before transferring to a Jr. High
closer to home.

品，设计特点是用相对小的lure，俺也是在试浑水。power spell俺没有用过，你当时
要在350，400中选择，我斗胆推荐了500g，我曾提到jay沉船下的鱼很大，尽量选最重
的，并且以后还可以钓蓝鳍金枪。最后你听了dealer的意见400g,但为了保险，还是选
择了450g。450g钓100#以下的aj应该绰绰有余。只不过你的运气太好了，碰到了超级aj
，估计100#以上。俺要是有机会和这么大的aj一博，就算断杆也值啊，哈哈 |

第一群，也是第一档，四大HOFer，菜鼻猪龙。ring也有，常规赛mvp也有（猪是例外，
但是N次前三，多次第二，而且是差不多可以并列第一的第二，算成mvp也没有问题）。
总之，无需再证明什么，HOF没跑。剩下的就是如何reinforce legacy。
