发帖数: 9994 | 6 我给大家提个醒啊：最近这些便宜的8TB 3.5寸盘，和4/5TB、甚至有些2TB的 2.5寸盘
，其便宜不是没有原因的。这些盘都是用了一种新的磁盘记录技术，叫做SMR，不知道
的自行google。这种盘优点是能提高记录密度，缺点是不适合频繁写入擦除操作，所以
又叫做Archive Drive （就是适合写入一次，然后只读。SMR的盘读盘速度基本没受影
响）。我手头最大的盘就2TB，都是以前SMR没流行之前屯的，感觉够用了。 |

不过在新普锐斯的光环下，丰田其实还有一个大手笔——他们的燃料电池汽车Mirai FCV（Mirai即日语“未来”，FCV指的则是“燃料电池车”Fuel Cell Vehicle）也即将在十月份投产。如果不算之前本田小批量生产的FCX Clarity（下图）外，这是第一款批量生产的燃料电池乘用车。

只是奇怪为什么没人提到INTERFACE.要说这个领域的实践性文章，interface 才是最好
的吧。HBR大多是management 相关，OR/OM的文章并不多。
HBR的文章要算credit其实挺难办的。里面的长文章还是不错。问题是出在那些一页纸
都不到的短文上。要说这些短文多有建设性，恐怕也是不见得。偏偏这种文章还很多。
另外，我上面说过，对HBR最不服气的一点是，哈佛的人人手N篇。也没见Sloan的人人
手N篇SMR。即使从学术的公平性来说，算HBR也是很成问题的事。Dallas的排名没算HBR
, Business week 20 和FT40都算。明显是由于这些名单的侧重不同。不过我个人还是
倾向于把哈佛的人发的刨掉再算。
主战场，做出来的东西，一是成果不适合实际，巨多不切实际的假设，没有应用的价值
，只是为发表而发表，推导而推导，反正学术界承认我的Credit就可以了，第二是没有
读者，管理管理，最需要思路和idea的是一线管理人员，他们是解决实际问题的主力军

I heared from multiple climbers I respect that SMR is not very good. They
are more like fire fighters, good at find lost hikers, etc. Not so good at
rescue stranded climbers. |

I have viewed some of them. Those Xoom site are better than others. And
file size are huge of about 800MB for MPEG4 quality ( like Patriot, 1.5GB
for 3 hours movies.) and 400MB of for SMRs.

HGST 在去年推出的 He6 氦气硬盘最大容量为 6TB，而今年回应与 Seagate 的军备竞
赛的更新版的 He8 则是在其上再做突破，最大容量来到了 8TB。氦气硬盘完全密封并
填充氦气，因为氦气的密度比较空气低，所以可以降低碟片在高速旋转时遭遇的阻力和
乱流。如此一来，不仅可以比较省电，而且可以装入更薄更多片的碟片，增加容量。不
过显然 He6 和 He8 使用的垂直磁录技术已经差不多到了极限，所以开发中的下一代
10TB 版本将转为使用叠瓦式磁录（Shingled Magnetic Recording、SMR）的方式，再
进一步增加碟片密度。
不过氦气硬盘是完全企业、服务器导向的产品，「稍微」和一般消费者比较相关的部份
，HGST 也推出了容量高达 6TB 的空气式硬盘 Ultrastar 7K6000。这会是 HGST 企业
产品线中，最后一代空气式硬盘，它的五碟片设计（氦气硬碟可以达到七碟片），每片

那个艰难的floor终于结束了。昨天是新的floor第一天,5点顶着照在身上的暖暖的夕阳
准时下班，感觉真好。晚上去跑了步，即便昨天的月末考试爆难，至少已经错了两题，
不过也丝毫没有影响心情， 美美的睡了8个小时。
人生最美是事情莫过于睡觉睡到自然醒了。
